I don't think he meant it as a blame. I think what he meant is that women have evolved and men not so. Otherwise said, women are the survivors, men are struggling.
society has evolved. women and men are the same today as ever; it is the values, motivations, and choices available that have changed and empowered many women.
Women today always think they can live alone.they don't care about family.they only think of themselves...

I think is quite simple. We are facing a transitional period during which past rules don't apply. New steady rules have not emerged yet.

i think a much better word is 'wisdom.'
'rule' insinuates a subversion of choice.
