First,

Please do not attempt to put a squirrel on a leash. It will bite right though a pair of welders gloves and right through the bones in your hand. BTW, if you manage somehow to disorient the squrrrel enough to get it on a 4 foot leash, it will without doubt, not try to bite the leash, but instead will attack you.
