This is the third time I've heard this song. It rocks. The second time was the unplugged live version (here on You Tube) only unplugged version there is.

And the first time, was when I saw them perform the only unplugged version

@tamerswan i think the song is about being as good as you can be for yourself, but not being good enough for others. the song is saying that a man will always try as hard as he can, but he can never achieve what others see of him.

if you really listen to the lyrics in his songs and relate them to the fact that he committed suicide, you can really see the pain in some of his songs

I was saddened by the passing away of Brad Delp. I used to always want to sing like him, even practiced on it. In 2003, I finally got to meet him after their BOSTON concert in dallas. I got about three autographs from him. I know what he had gone through because I myself am have gone through this. Other than a beautiful in who I sang this song to that I am so very much trying to find(Nicole-Plaesant Grove,TX.) I don't know what keeps me alive. I'm sorry your gone Brad.
