  • Hi! Is phase 90 setting the same on solo and rhythm? can I substitude Dave's univibe for Phase 90?

  • @MauricioPC

The rate is around 12 o'clock. You can use a Phase 90 for UniVibe tones I did here :)

  • whats the neck on your guitar? its sweet, its like rosewood but it has a binding

  • @LedZeppZoSo

The guitar is a Fender Japan '65 reissue with a rosewood neck with binding. Lovely to play!

  • Hi Bjorn, a fantastic sound you got there, just curious, is the LaneyCub12 15w you use at all modified? as i looking for a new practice and currently its a toss up between a SuperChamp and this.

  • @bjornriis Which are better, the Voodoo 69s or CS69s? I can't decide which I want and since you've played both, I figured you could help.

  • @joshie4330

They're very similar. The Voodoos has a bit more presence and the bridge pickup is slightly overwound.

  • please nice sound!!!

  • Do you have tabs for this??

  • @Gapbriel please i need it

  • @Gapbriel just take your guitar and watch the video. you maybe need to try here and there, but you can actually see everything clear and it's pretty easy to play ;)

  • on the solo i mean. its definitely around 11 oclock for the rest of the tune

  • hey bjorn love the new website! unbelievable is an understatement! anyhow ive been meaning to ask this question for a long time. On the studio version of have a cigar if gilmour is using the mxr phase 90 the rate has to be all the way down as i hear it. I usually set mine at 11 o'clock unless i am playing van halen stuff then i turn the rate very low. anyway i have such a hard time hearing the phaser during the solo. Let me know what you think!

  • nice tutorial as well,thanks Bjorn !!

  • Fantastic job Bjorn, I like it so much!

  • Bjorn, Awesome video. Would you mind doing a demo for the other pickups in thay set or did you only change the neck pickup?

  • @FenderDOOD

You mean the TTS? They're very similar to these. The neck and mid are both from both sets based on the Fender 69s. The Dave Allen Voodoo bridge is a slightly overwound 69 while the TTS is closer to the Duncan SSL5 with a bit more bite and mids. It's never really quite fair to demo pickups because the tone will be coloured by the amp, the mic and the mic position etc but I'll keep it in mind for later.

  • @BjornRiis just curious what kinda strings do you use??

  • @superreverbfreak

    GHS Boomers 010.

  • like your new website so much!

  • can i make a request....do shine on 1st solo from that msg 77....or any shine on 1st solo from the 77 tour...take your pick!

  • @pinkrudy

I'll try :) You mean the first intro solo or the first with band? The one from MSG (welcome to the machine bootleg) is just insane... incredible sustain! I used to play that when we did the Floyd tribute shows with our band... years ago :) If you look around on my channel, there's a version of the 3rd solo from MSG.

  • @BjornRiis hey bjorn :) yes the intro solo before the drums ...i know what you mean about the sustain... wow :P if you can recreate it in your house would be great! is saw your 3rd solo on MSG almost identical!

  • great! love these live performance covers.. MSG77 was great too.

  • Brilliant job!

  • Thanks I needed that- the great Gilmour sound no doubt about it.!!!

  • beautiful!

  • That was fabulous! One of my favorite songs!

  • Nice! and thanks for posting it!

I thought he did it with a Leslie but the Phase 90 really nails it.

What's that light blinking on the background?

  • @DarthG0m3zzz

Yes, it's a Leslie but it works nicely with a Phase 90 as well :) The pedal in the back is a TRex Reptile. Didn't use it for the clip.

  • @BjornRiis One more thing, I have a Throbak od/boost, how close is this to the Colorsound PB?

  • That was.great!!

  • Glorious Bjorn...!!
