Seen Yvonne twice now, both times supporting Iona (they're amazing by the way!) & she's fantastic.Great songs, beautiful voice ,which is even better experienced live, & a wonderful personality. Her latest album "More Than Mine" is brilliant!!
Lovely video Yvonne. And it was great listening to you last night @ Iona gig. I shall post this on my FB profile. K (Psstt... your album 'Ashes...' is wonderful!)
My 14 year old son has just been fortunate enough to spend a week-end away in this amazing woman's presence. (A Music Workshop organised by the local Steeple Church). My sons says she is so talented and such an inspiration to young people. I have three of her CD's - her message is self evident - Spreading Love.
I saw Yvonne perform this at Carberry 3 years ago :) Ruddy fabulous!
She is such a talented woman, you are an inspiration to everyone. your lyrics just make everythign seem okay :) keep up the good work honey! i am so proud to be listenign to you!!!
Yvonne has a great voice, and writes the best songs I've heard in a while. She and DL show that you can do well if you try your best. Thanks Yvonne for all your songs. If it's ok i'm going to use one of your songs with a video.

Reading the above comment prompted me to post this:
I have had a very busy and stressful time over the last few weeks, working long hours and having little rest. In the early hours of this mourning I was driving a friends car (which comes with radio 2 from the moment you turn the key) to collect my son from work at a nearby restaurant. The rain was teaming down and the lights from oncoming traffic harsh due to my tiredness. continued -
I was stopped by a red light. As I drew to a standstill from the radio came Yvonne singing "Come". I closed my eyes and let the music wash over me, the lyrics reached the depths of my soul. The lights changed to green and I continued. Thank you Yvonne.
Daryl...thank you so much for posting this...it means alot. It's always amazes me how songs can reach people across the airwaves! I hope life brings a liitle more peace these days!
Yvonne Lyons was playing a gig in Largs and said that this song was based on a wee girl she saw in Greenock. She was sitting in her car at some traffic lights and was feeling a bit crappy and deperssed when this wee girl who was crossing the road with her mum suddenly turned around then smiled and waved at her. The girl and her mum were gone in an instant, but the smile kind of helped put things into perspective. I smiled too when I heard that story...
