  • I'm amazed no one understands this. At the Intro to the news a roll of headline pictures always runs and these are the voiceovers underneath to explain them (all done live every night). At the end of the first segment the edited mix stalls (freezes/crashes or whatever) - issue with their media server or the file is corrupt or something. They have to cut to camera and keep reading the headlines. Alison obviously gets instructions (the pause) from the control room ahead of the last segment that

  • I fail to see a blooper...

I see two possiblities. Reporters rehearsing their lines, which is a little unlikely as it showed gaza video at the start... Or more likely this is the unedited version of a news program. Where they read the lines, and then later an editor will cut it apart and his "good evening" at the end will actually end up being at the start of a new segment after a commercial break.

  • For all you unattentive guys, the blooper is that as they finished the opening lines for each story they were supposed to cut to the footage, but they didn't for some reason and had to read the opening lines for the next one.

  • The blooper is that New Zealand never messes up, and thats the worst you will ever see them .. ;) NZ Rocks!!

  • where was the blooper ??

  • Lawl, there rehearsing GJ with the blooper!

  • Sorry, what do you think went wrong here?

  • they were filming out takes to be attached to the videos prior to the news...they are viewed on nz tv approx every half hour from 3 oclock onwards leadind up to the Actual news which airs at 6.00pm every night....whats the big wip bout this?????? fail

  • Okay, so it's slightly funny that she said "look at the size of this one" when there was no video, but it's far from spectacular...

  • lol

  • spectacular? Ermm....just because a video clip didn't show on time? I wish this you tube video didn't show at all! That would be spectacular. Why post this and say it's spectacular. Go and post Spectacular christmas cards to family and friends instead, I can only imagine how spectacular those would be!

  • It's the woman.

    Appears slow and inebrated

    More than just weird.

  • :036. A great white shack?? What kind of encounter could you possibly have???

  • Define "spectacular".

  • @Swampgift When someone bothers to post this load of shite then that is spectacular, in the fail sense.

  • bahahaha 2 second gap in between each sentence!!!

  • @senitima its because they were stating what is coming up next, they normally show some videos well talking

  • hahahahha

  • umm what is happening exactly? they can't find the clips am lost?

  • our cameras were there...pity about the catchy pictures that were missing at the start. Good blooper mate.

  • OMG, they handled that so badly!

  • Why should a Maori do non-Maori things? Are you suggesting that they have an inferior language/culture? I dont think that anyone is being forced here. And as I said, their language is one of NZ's official languages.

  • I don't like the way they make European presenters say "Kia Ora". Would make sense if he was a maori, but he's not.

  • I'm no expert on NZ but the last time I checked Maori was an official language there. So what is the problem? Plus, they are the indigenous people of the land, who lived there hundreds of years before before any European set foot over there, so why not show them a bit of respect.

  • Why should non-maori have to do maori things. I'm quite happy to respect their culture and let them do their thing, just don't force it on me.

  • I love using Maori language from time-to-time cos it makes me feel different from being an Aussie or a Pom.

  • @kLemon "dont force it on me" What are you talking about? This is the culture of our country. Maori is the OFFICIAL language of NZ. Your complete ignorance just reinforces your complete narrow mindedness. May I remind you that while you respect their culture and plead for "maori things" not be forced on you, the english language and western civilization has been imposed on maoris for years. Wake up kLemon, stop being so ignorant. One kia ora isnt the signalling to world domination. get a grip.

  • @031watt Actually there are 3 official languages of New Zealand: Maori, English, and sign language. btw I'm non-maori and believe that everyone should learn maori, I wish it had been compulsory when I was at school. And overall I agree with your argument. Just think its important to recognise all of the languages.

  • Sign Language is also an official language of NZ. You won't TV1/3 news opening with that any time soon. Just sayin'

  • @fdama

    cos theyr black

  • I think over there it's kinda adapted into the vernacular...

  • No he's a New Zealander and in case you hadn't noticed New Zealanders often use Kia Ora. If you don't won't to be a Kiwi that's fine, don't use it. Go and be an Aussie or something

  • They had no idea what to do.

  • I don't think they were actually aware.

  • at 0.19 she says a s..small as if she is thinking what to do

  • spectacular is just a tad ott lol

  • wow you know that happens all the time right? that happens like once a week or so.

  • yeah... just watch any live newscast and you'll see stuff like this all the time. no big deal.

  • they cnt b perfect all the time!!

  • Seems like the people in the control room weren't concentrating!

  • @cyberzspace20 or napping.
