  • i like the slow speeed of wilesco, seems more realistick

  • Does this mean those awful Wilesco wheels can be dismantled, I'm starting construction of one of these engines and I don't like the wheels. I'm thinking of 'lining the yellow wheels with black lining (model aircraft 'go faster' stripes), or changing them out totally for Mamod ones. C :)

  • im lookng for a butain or coal steam tractor.

were can i get one inexpensive on the internet or in the us?

  • u did a gr8 job it looks so cool!

  • WERE DID U GET

  • are they ok to run inside? ive never had enough balls to run it inside my house!

  • Jerry, I consider modern mobile engines like this one to be perfectly safe used indoors. I would NOT run them on carpeted floors where if the alcohol burner overflowed or tablet burner spit a chunk of flaming fuel you could have a problem. I run mine inside and outdoors and have never had a problem...but I am a careful adult. If a child would be running one of these, adult supervision is a must.

  • i run mine in the house all the time nothing happens

  • ahh , silence from the gears.

    are those mamod wheels?

    what fuel does it use?

    looks beautiful

  • Both front and rear wheels are Mamods inserted inside the original Wilesco wheel outers. I just like the look of the Mamod wheels!! It uses denatured alcohol (meths) fed from a brass burner/tank hanging beneath the rear scuttle area.

  • very nice it looks good

  • Very nice conversion Rog, seams to run very smooth too
