Regardless of any heli you get, you'll eventually have to repair it due to any crash. Getting a Blade 400 is nice however, spare parts also get more expensive. For example, the LIPO Battery you use will likely be a lot larger and will cost a lot more. The servo's a larger and are likely Metal Gear(MG), but also will cost a lot more than the plastic gear servos. So, it's all upto how much money you want to spend.
thanks for the tips just inherited one of these things in disrepair dont know wether to bother fixing or just get myself a blade 400 because even if i do repair it its still a cheap walkera. what do you think.
I would research the the manual and buy all stock replacement parts, learn how to set it up carefully, and fly it stock for a while. Or upgrade right away to 11.1v and a brushless main motor. If you like it get a blade 400 or a t-rex 450se (or equiv).
@RealityofThings Regardless of any heli you get, you will also eventually become a mechanic in trainning. The 2.4Ghz Walkera #22E is a low cost 6-channel entry helicopter that can be upgraded at any point in time. So, while you eventually get a 400+ size 6-channel , your low cost entry heli doesn't have to collect dust in the closet.
