  • And the acting is really awful too. Watch "Jesus of Nazareth" if you wish to see propper acting.

  • This story in the Bible was added by later scribes and was not originally in the Gospel of John. For this reason, in most modern Bibles this story is put in double brackets. It is not historical.

  • The only sin is to act without love towards another. That is the meaning.

  • Wats this movies name?

  • @xtianssk Well thats not true. Im the usa christians have alot of power. If you are gonna say something try and be right. I am glad i like in the UK. I dont know anyone religious;)

  • God loves us all ^_^

  • i love this line. "your not free, but you could be." as well as "you treated her....like she was worth something." "She is, and so are you."

  • @911child Those are my favorite lines as well...freedom and value are exactly the point of this story, and the entire gospel for that matter.

  • Love this clip. Good stuff, Mike.

  • Powerful forgiveness technique, power prayer, Jesus lost years, etc can be found in Desposyni Church website. The info sounds and rings true.

  • I have a nasty habit of being very world-weary. All the crappy things happening in the world today combine with personal dilemmas to form a rather stubborn pessimism for certain things. Watching videos like these and seeing Jesus act and speak with a clever and loving personality like what we would normally see in our own lives makes all the crap go away for a while. God's love is real <3 <3

  • We've all done things that hurt our selves and our community. So before lashing out at someone else and projecting your anger onto them, look at yourself for a change. Its easy to condemn someone else so harshly without being self reflective. When you realize you've done similar things, its easy to forgive others.

  • thakz jesus tat we live tiz day becoz of u

  • Jesus forgives anyone who repents and cries to him with all their heart and soul wether ur a murder or thief whatever u maybe jesus can forgive u all u have to do is cry out to him and ask him to.come into.ur life and forgive u and he will

  • This is one of my favourite moments in the the life of Christ (if its alright to have a favourite) it comes in after the crucifixtion and being the messiah being raised to life

this is forgiveness in a nutshell and it makes me happy to have god on my side that i am a child of god

  • Jesus = Insane cult leader

  • @Karoke77 Nope.

  • @Karoke77 Christianity and Islam are the two largest religions in the world today. Christianity outweighs Islam by a factor of roughly ten percent of the world's current population. Christianity accounts for a third of Earth's population. Both fit the textbook definition of "religion" and both are founded by a single person. Explain where your accusation of "insane cult leader" fits into all this, especially when you can just as easily say the same about Muhammad and Islam.

  • im not bashing or anything. im just asking. when jesus said to the woman "from now on, do not sin again" does that mean she never sinned again? because i thought that we could never stop sinning and that is why we need jesus christ to wash away the sin from our hearts. i am sorry if my question comes out weird:P

  • @nomorelies86 Great question! First, understand that the woman is guilty...She deserved His condemnation, as do all of use What Jesus offered was grace. She didn't deserve His forgiveness, but He forgave her all the same. How should she respond to such amazing grace? Jesus tells her, and by extension us, to not sin again..Repent and turn away from the sin that condemns us. Re-condition your heart toward righteousness. Will we stumble? Of course. But we are moving in the opposite direction.

  • @MikeYoungquist

Hi! I love this dramatization (although its embellishes much from the Gospels).

One point that was taught to me long ago. "Jesus does NOT 'forgive' the adultress here!"

Jesus NEVER condemned her, so there was NOTHING to forgive!

    Isnt that amazing!?

There is more to this point that escapes me right now (darn it!), but Ive always loved that way of looking at this.

My opinion as to "now go and sin no more", is that Jesus gives us free will. Our choice to follow or not.

  • Comment removed

  • @nomorelies86 There is such thing as "sinning no more" the act itself is not sin, the excuse is, for we humans are acted trough by unclean spirits, thats why Paul said "We know that the law is spiritual; but I am unspiritual, sold as a slave to sin. 15 I do not understand what I do. For what I want to do I do not do, but what I hate I do. 16 And if I do what I do not want to do, I agree that the law is good.

  • @nomorelies86 17 As it is, it is no longer I myself who do it, but it is sin living in me. 18 For I know that good itself does not dwell in me, that is, in my sinful nature.[c] For I have the desire to do what is good, but I cannot carry it out. 19 For I do not do the good I want to do, but the evil I do not want to do—this I keep on doing.

  • @avardevan 20 Now if I do what I do not want to do, it is no longer I who do it, but it is sin living in me that does it." You were forgiven before you were born, as long as you do not make excuses for your sins. Think about it, when you sin and make an excuse, who are you making the excuse to and who are you trying to protect when you make the excuse? The evil lives off you as long as you continue excusing the sins he makes you do.

  • @nomorelies86 PLEASE READ DOWN-UP

  • Study of the bible and archeology shows god had a wife and after the bablonian attack scribes thought god punished them for worshipping gods other than him so tried to write away the presence of Asharah gods wife. Who was by gods side when he came down to earth. Prettymuch all bible scholars not biased by faith agree that christianity in its foundation is not a monotheistic religion. The evidence for his wife is overwhelming, in the book and in archeology.

  • @MrImmobile ...and yet you provided no direct sourcing for even a single point in scripture that would support your position. Nor do you site even one alleged "bible scholar not biased by faith" (as if faith is a disqualification for finding truth). If the evidence is indeed overwhelming...

  • @MikeYoungquist if you are not biased do your own research. Pretty much all bible scholars agree Asherah* was gods wife and the scribes tried changing her name into the meaning of a wooden stick but failed to pull it off. There is alot of evidence if you are willing to view itwithout bias or agenda. Its pretty much fact that christianities roots were not monotheistic.

  • @MikeYoungquist Even if it wasnt true that god had a wife it doesnt validate the bible. If you believe the world is young/noah's ark/flood/walked with dinosaurs/first man was adam and eve then you are a programmed idiot(no matter the iq) and if you trust science and believe the bible then i think you are ever sillier because if those stories are not true(science shows easily that they are not) then the whole basis for the bible is screwed.

  • @MrImmobile thats because God is an alien being!

  • @Piratejenny25 Atleast that statement can be entertained by science. God does not have to be the creator of the universe. Could just be alien life that has pushed humans in the right evolutionary path through time and altered our dna. Panspermia(life being depositied on earth) does not have to be from a comet. People throw aliens in with ghosts and the supernatural. Total small mindedness, we are aliens to any life out there ;) Christianity isnt the truth. Aliens could be tho;) Who knows :D

  • @MrImmobile I've always thought his wife was void and that he was form and that the love or copulation between the two to form space-time was love, the essence of the unified godhead.

  • @MrImmobile what bible are you readin?

  • @imbatman1995 One's that havent been altered by the church. After the church had many hardships they made christianity a monotheistic religion. In early christianity god had a wife, she dealt with fertility. There was even snake worship. The snake in the garden of eden was not satan. Doesnt say that anywhere. Look up asherah (gods wife). Also if you think the bible is anything is used to be like when it was first written you are cluless. It has been altered and changed many times.

  • @MrImmobile christianity stemmed from judaism aka hebrew. all were monotheistic, and if ANYTHING else was ever worshiped, it contradicts the entire christian faith. People have found original scrolls with the bible on them, all stress the fact there is ONE God and no one else. when exactly did the bible become so altered? it surely wasnt the reformation period, cuz people were mad that the were making crap up about the bible, so it couldnt have been then. so when exactly?

  • @imbatman1995 You are not worth my time if you think the bible hasnt been altered. All throughout history it was altered and parts left out and translations bending to agenda's. Judaism was born out of more ancient religions and originally it was not monotheistic. There was even snake worship. It was very savage. Alot of evil blood sacrifice. Nothing a "modern" man would want to believe in. Anyone who thinks the bible is the word of god is programmed and delusional. Whether a nice person or not.

  • ...and it's dude from Suburgatory and Clueless and L.A. Law...

  • another white jesus.

  • @vepopyepyee He is the light of the world.. He loves people, and Jesus doesn't wanna condemn us... ALL OF US ARE SINNERS, INCLUDING YOU! He is making it clear.. As long as we have a chance to repents, let us repent.. He said " Go woman, and don't sin again!" Repentance is what God wants for all of us... He fulfilled what the law really means, He didn't abolish it..

  • The old testament = an eye for an eye.The new testament = turn the other cheek.Jesus was into cutting people some slack. He was one ultra cool dude!

  • @Jen9109 How is your imaginary friend?

  • I love Jesus!

  • Comment removed

  • Jesus wants you to learn what he teaches not about him. Do you go to school to learn about your teachers ? No

  • I cried when I saw the video I felt like the woman pushed to the ground was me. I admit I am a sinner and I am not worthy because of this world. I hope he will let me follow him.

  • @Itravelbackintime

He definitely will. He came into the world to offer Himself as a sacrifice so that sinners like you and me can have eternal life :)

  • Know one knows what God will do to us when we die. Why fight about something like this? Most religions have the same morals to be good people and love each other. If we so that the world will be a better place. And if God is real you will be fine if not then ok. Either way we all will die I would rather die with belief in my heart and knowing people will remember as a loving and caring person. Not a hateful and mean one.

  • @urBabygirl123 Read Acts 2:38

  • It does not make sense.

The Father made the Law but the son abolished it.

But we read from the Bible stating Jesus came not to abolish it.

    We see a contradiction here.

  • ""Do not think that I have come to abolish the Law or the Prophets; I have not come to abolish them but to fulfill them." (Matthew 5:17, NIV)

"Don't suppose for a minute that I have come to demolish the Scriptures - either God's Law or the Prophets. I'm not here to demolish but to complete. I am going to put it all together, pull it all together in a vast panorama." (Matthew 5:17, MSG) Where is the contradiction? How did Jesus abolish the law?

  • @MikeYoungquist

What is the punishment for fornicators under the OT Law?

What is the punishment for adultery?

    Did Jesus fulfill the law?

  • @vepopyeyee - the death sentence is not literal... it refers to the death of your soul, spiritual death....

  • @KLUNKET

From the Ten Commandments we get:

    YOU SHALL NOT COMMIT ADULTERY

If a person happens to have committed it, what is the punishment?

  • @vepopyeyee - Jesus did not abolish the law per say...Prior to Jesus the punishment for such sin was "spiritual" death as it was written in the Hebrew-Christ gave his life to PAY for the sins of man,so that they may be forgiven. Sins are still looked upon as sins,& still break the law, but faith in Christ ensures that the sin will be forgiven, & you will not pay for that sin with spiritual death. In other words, he saved the souls of man by paying for all of their sins just for believing in him

  • @KLUNKET

Jesus had not paid the price yet.

Here came the woman who had committed sin.

The law made by the Father stated death penalty for it.

Did Jesus uphold the law or not?

  • @vepopyeyee I believe not quite sure but I think that in the law both the man and the women had to be presented to be stoned. How come David wasn't stoned?

  • @vepopyeyee

Christ did not abolish the law, but its hold over us.

The law was given to make us aware that we have sinned against God, and that we need his forgiveness in order to know him and receive his life.

Christ's sacrifice fulfilled the law-we are aware that grace through faith has opened the door to forgiveness of sins and restored fellowship with God through Chrst's crucifixion/resurrection/glorification.

May you find God's grace and forgiveness.

    Romans 6-8.

  • @vepopyeyee Nah He never really abolished the spirit of the Law, He came to interpret what the Law was really saying. The letter, though, is not necessary anymore.

  • I Love how through GRACE i am Saved

and how through Joseph Prince dot org

i was able to understand why Jesus put his Finger in the sand

because Jesus was THE GOD who Wrote on the Tables of the Ten Commandments

  • "Tell you more tomorrow." I wonder if Jesus ever said that :) What a beautiful person He is! :) I love Him so much!! :) But TOLTECAAZTECA is right, Jesus of Nazareth didn't look anything close to this! He had dark skin and that is who I warship only!! This movie is great and it is touching but that is insulting to me. :( I love the movie though.

  • @123thegirl4god why should thine Skin matter if you have No Flesh for your Soul or why should thine Skin matter if you are Blind why should the Color matter when GOD probly has MORE COLORS he plans to make in Heaven not just Variations of the Common 5 Color system we have but BEYOND the Limits of the human Eye Why if you could Taste The Color Blue or Smell Musicical Notes? why do you judge so harshly and say you only serve a Dark Skin Jesus isnt his Spirit more RIGHT
  • The typical ''JESUS'' of every movie, looks like a Nordic-Aryan man....And to assholes that look like that, i will not bow down...........Instead my life i give to the real son of God the one with the dark skin the Lord.Amen

  • @TOLTECAAZTECA what does it matter what his skin color is?

  • @rmcgov00leeuedu Because white people or fair skin creatures ,are the very definition of what evil means. The very same ''evil'' the son of God was trying to eradicated when he came down to this earth.Fair enough?

  • Awesome! Uh - question? Who are the two people that voted thumbs down? Hmmm, don't be so hard on yourselves - it's not healthy!

  • Looks like a great production.

  • makes sense. (MM) Mary Magdalene was the wife of Jesus & the mother of mankind in as much as as Jesus was father. Satan/God fooled mankind into thinking that MM was wretched and evil and that Jesus was a fool and slave to mankind.

  • @jesselmoore What? I'm confused. What are you trying to say?

  • I just find it strange to see Det. Cyrus Lupo playing Jesus :P

  • Jesus is the Best. Thanks for the clip!

  • ...wonderful...

  • JESUS IS LORD

  • @ellitestar so if you are to cast the first stone may i assume you are without sin? Come one. You know you got a semi.

  • Ugh. 2:3? They should have at least shot in 16:9 if not scope. I think zomvie jesus deserves at least anamorphic widescreen

  • I love this movie. The one who plays JESUS was great and you could feel his love, care and compassion for others.

  • Thankyo Lord

  • I love this version of the story of Jesus, however, there is one word that one of the Roam leaders uses that should have been a different word, he uses the word

'dis", as in disrespectful, they didn't use the word "dis" back then! I mean c'mon!

I thought it was a little silly.

  • Oh hai Jesus!

  • this is one of the best movies it gives hope that the real one might save and give a dam

  • You'll no doubt be pleased to know that this story was inserted in to Johns gospel by later writers. There are no originals of MMLJ but we have around 5,400 manuscripts. In the earlier manuscrpts/copies this does not appear. Its well known to biblical scholars.

  • I all ways wanted to know what he was drawing in the sand i had herd that it was things they had done wrong.

  • I wish that jesus lived in the time of hilter

  • @MrVandervlis The neurotic redeemer wouldn't last one second with this mentality. He'd probably be the very first to die. Jesus was the only naive maniac that walked with open arms. Even for people that never deserved his respect. He had no pride whatsoever and was a worthless mythological caricature. He was suffering from a neurosis that he almost believed he was being victorious by getting killed. The nazarenes don't last long in a fight, 'cause they're too concerned about turning their cheeks.

  • @Android369 You know nothing about Jesus ! Cynical individuals such as yourself never bother to explore anything deeper :( The Nazarene, as you call him, will live forever. Unlike people like you.

  • @Ladymariastella No , i explored my ass and have reached gates of tremendest lusssst. Szztztzzsss

  • @Android369 Huh? What on earth does that have to do with this clip?

  • @mcpepper It means anything. Anal sex has a lot to do with what Jesus had to say. Being humble and always open-minded or passive to a degree where you could be categorized as a blatant whore.

The white dress that's supposed to signify his pure innocence signifies in reality something that does not exist in human form. It's a lie disguised as a truth. Jesus is the light and the sun. He's just as twisted as the sun. Just like the sun can cause cancer, Jesus causes mass disturbences in the brain.

  • @Android369 Help anyone, help the poor, the weak and the meek. That's the core of the sun of jesus. A sun that promises hope and light to an already depressed and hopeless crowd. A happy human being does not require only hope and the sun to be happy. Jesus promises sth. that we already posess, every day. His teachings had significance in the past, though. Not today, because you can't apply that to our modern world if you wish to maintain Jesus's puritan values.

  • @MrVandervlis - I bet Hitler does too - he was a Catholic.

  • Oh I love this bible story.

  • I'd like to think that Jesus looked more like this dark gentleman 1:02.

Something to consider that was taught to me: Jesus NEVER forgave the woman!

BECAUSE He never condemned her to begin with! There was no need for forgiveness.

Forgiveness comes from judgement of wrongdoing, followed by a conscious choice to forgive!

Jesus never judged; never condemned 2:10

    :)

  • One of my favorite stories in the bible, and one of the best scenes in the movie!

He did a really great job acting Jesus. I cannot imagine playing someone so great in a mere movie!
