  • those jumps are so. freaking. huge. my heart skipped a beat each time he flew over one... I only jump 2'6''....

  • Love it when he says "get up" to the horse going over one of the jumps (at least, I think he says it). I always say that as I'm going over a difficult-looking fence xD

  • wow perfect striding!

  • During the video I almost said good boy after the jumps...hahaha

  • OMG !! What a terrific Silence !! 0_0 But the video is soooo intense !! Woah !!! Love it ♥ and share on FaceBook ^^

  • i like how he lets his horse see most of the fences XD

  • ahhh, I hate that when you always catch the rail on the last jump!

  • wow!! :DD

  • that was absolutely AMAZING!!! :D

  • favorite showjumping helemt cam video ever!

  • My god that made it look so damned easy. = ) Those jumps were HUGE. Great riding and wonderful horse!

  • i can't be the only one counting my pace and leaning forward for the jumps when watching this :)

  • @xfloodedxlungsx ohmygod i thought i was the only one. o_o

  • @xfloodedxlungsx Me and my friend do it all the time :D x

  • @xfloodedxlungsx No worries, youre not lol

  • @xfloodedxlungsx nope! Haha I never get to jump this high. Especially on a pony.

  • Holy cow! You and your horse are SO smooth!! Geez I hope I can ride like that someday :D

  • omg big jumps!!

  • man that looks odd! makes my stomach go all funny :S lol

  • You sir, are my hero <3 I would love to do show jumping, but I'd get to nervous, thus making my horse nervous. I also would have trouble memorizing the pattern on the day of.

  • where can you get a GoPro? I've been wanting one so I can video while i am riding. AMZAING ride!!!!!!!

  • tht course is soooooooooo huge! not to mention the fences!!

  • @rosycheeks44 im not saying they do this fancy of stuff, but horses do jump. it IS natural. they go over logs and fallen trees and little rivers and that sort of thing. no they might not go over shiny poles in the wild but yes, they DO jump. think before oyu speak. hope you had a happy new year. just be sure that this new year you are nicer than the last.

  • @rosycheeks44 horses are made to jump, it's natural for them to jump. It doesn't hurt their hooves, or their legs. Show jumping requirement heights very depending on breed, skill level, riders age, so on and so forth. If you don't like it, don't watch it. Get your facts straight before you try to be rude about something you know oh so little about. Have a nice life :/

  • @1horseylover4 Oh yeah in the wild they do jumping patterns and jump polls. Your horse knowledge is super low. But you know what jumping is all you people know in your little horse life. Think like a horse not human.

  • So awesome! And very nice ridden!

  • I don't like jumping even though it's cool to watch this point of view but its not good for the horse and people don't care. All people care about is the money that is involved.

  • @rosycheeks44 Horses enjoy it, otherwise they would just choose not to do anything for the rider, and In order to jump those jumps, the horse and rider have to have a strong relationship, otherwise the horse wouldnt trust the rider to get him over the jumps. If the rider wanted money, he would get a better job, this job varies, you dont know where your next paycheck is coming from, they do it to have fun. and it is good excersise for the horse,

  • @ls34409 So you think. Horses are not made to jump it hurts their feet because they need all four feet to support their body when they have to land with only two feet on high jumps it hurts every joint and muscle and when you add a rider to the weight thats just plain painful. Think like a horse not a person only people think horses enjoy jumping because that is the way we think.

  • @rosycheeks44 These horses are built to jump that, If it made the horse, be in pain, he would just refuse to jump and a rider is only 15 percent of the horses weight, thats like you carrying 15 pounds, no big deal. Hurting of the joints, after a period of time, leads to injurys, in which the vet wouldnt even let them go into the arena, if he knew that it was causing the horse pain. Each horse has to be checked by a vet before each show. and the rider has to do most of the work, horse just jumps

  • @ls34409 You keep believing that. I have to say you r an idiot for saying " the rider has to do all the work" when in reality its the horse he or she is carrying a person on his or hers back, jumping, loping, trotting, walking when we just have to ride and keep ourselves in the saddle. Get some more horse knowledge. it doesn't hurt in time you will get what i am telling you if you actually care for THE HORSE.

  • @rosycheeks44 Rosy, the horse wouldn't jump if it didn't want to jump.

  • @rosycheeks44, Yes, if you actually think about it, horses would most definitely not go over ANY of those jumps if it hurt every joint and muscle. No way. Horses show their opinions, and they aren't afraid to express it if they are in pain or upset. If this horse, or any horse for that matter, was in pain doing this, the rider would be off in seconds. Trust me, it does really look like it hurts the horses feet when they land, but it doesn't make sense that it does because the horse would be buck

  • @rosycheeks44 ing and trying to get that rider off as soon as possible. But I can see where you are coming from because it does seem like it would hurt like hell! But horses can carry alot of weight, including their own and their rider.

  • @rosycheeks44 Horses way more than humans, they can easily get us off there backs. They can show us that they hate jumping they can express their feelings with body their face and there eyes. i think you are the one who needs to look up horse knowledge.

  • @rosycheeks44 Excuse me, but I jump Grand Prix, I think i know what I am talking about. The rider has to count strides, if hes off even by one, it could be deathly dangerous, and rider has to make sure to get the right lead, you have to be physically fit, and find the right spot and give the horse room to see the jump, get in jumping position, you have to make sure you have the right speed and get your course right. All the horse has to do is listen to the riders commands

  • @ls34409 Well that explains it your a fricken little show person go figure you will have no idea about horses except jumping the hell out of your horse

  • @rosycheeks44 I care alot about my horse, I dont do it for money, you cant make a living based off the money you earn. I love jumping because it gives you and your horse an adrenaline rush, and its exciting. I get my jumpers vetchecked often and he would be able to tell if the horse was in pain, and would tell me to stop jumping them. and In order to jump the horse, you have to be able to understand the horse and obviously your the one who has no idea about horses in fact im studying to be a vet

  • @ls34409 Then y do u do it. If you actually care for your horse that probably lives in a stall all day or pasture by itself. type in the search box Rick Gore jumping. This guy has been with horses for 40yrs and taught me a lot and hopefully you too. he doesnt just talk about jumping also western events that are also bad for horses.

  • @rosycheeks44 You're making a fool out of yourself. Just stop. -.-

  • @rosycheeks44 My horse, goes in its stall at night and is in his pasture with all of his horse friends all day, My horses love what they do and show no sign of pain, If i felt that my horse was in pain i would definetly stop jumping him but thats not my problem. I am a jumper and apsolutely love my horses, I spend time with them every day spoiling them with treats and ect. You can think what you want but u dont no me or how i treat my horses, heck, you dont know i thing about horses so just stop

  • @ls34409 I think your right. rosycheeks44 the rider or owner of the horse wouldn't enter if he knew that it wasn't right! My pony loves jumping! Its just one example. I understand why you don't like it, maybe its not your thing but it doesn't mean its bad!

  • @huntin4lifexo Yah, I have 2 jumpers that are the same way, One of them, gets dancy feet, and hops around, getting excited just being in the ring with all of the jumps, because he knows whats about to happen, lol and my other one, he likes to jump and will do it, but cross country is really his game, he will walkinto the starting box on his hind legs just waiting for my command to go. I love it though!

  • @rosycheeks44 Horses has these magic things called tendons, muscles, suspensory ligaments which help take away the impact of landing, it doesn't hurt you when you jump up and down for the same reason. It's due to the rider as well, if you have a good rider who gets the horse to jump steadily and cleanly, less likely to hurt themselves, obviously if the rider's terrible there's more chance of the horse getting hurt. But my horse adores jumping, he loves it, so some horses do like to jump!

  • @rosycheeks44 Wow -.- you obviously know nothing. Eventers and show jumping horses love to jump they live and breathe for it. My horse sees a jump and he wants to take it. Jumpers and eventers take care of their horses. Our horses are our top priority and for me and many other riders if there is a spill Idc if i broke something i look for if my horse is okay. So shut your mouth you have no idea what the hell you are talking about. Good day.

  • My muscles would tighten up and shift the whole time I watched this since I used to be a jumper...its been years but I guess you never forget!

  • Feels like I'm in a horseback riding video game. I would love to be able to jump those jumps!

  • you're allowed to let your horse see all the jumps?

  • @olneyrider theres a certain amount of time, the buzzer sounds then theres an amount of time until you HAVE to be over the first jump :)

  • Nice job! That is soo cool! I want one! haha

  • I need one of those! :L

  • whooooooooooa. insane! it would be amazing to do that. in the meantime, i'm satisfied with my little jumps. ;)

  • i dont blame the person for pressing dislike its not thei fault they cant see or hear! and they thaught it sed dis i like!

  • Geez!! You're good rider. I want that kind of camera. :) Beautiful horse.

  • I found myself trying to fold over a couple of the jumps haha!

I would love to do this for my career - but I need quite a bit more experience!

  • was that a canadian rider? if so, GO CANADA! if not then thats ok.

  • @Gypsyvannerluv yes hes canadian :D

  • INCREDIBLE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • wow! either thats a REALLY tall horse, or its just me XD thats amazing!

  • @gypsydreamer09 To just at that height they're usually at least 16.2hh ish (though you do get some smaller ones). I think itd be better if he got on the horse first (filmed at the time) so you could realise just how massive those fences are xD

  • this makes me feel special :) heehee lol

  • amazing to see it form that perspective..thanks for the video ;)

  • love how he takes him/her up to every fence beforehand too. Awesome job and a great thing for us amateurs to learn from.

  • looks like a very strong horse into the fence.. thatnks for the ride x

  • So cool! sounded like 8 jumping faults though.... I love how he could tell when his horse was faltering and said "get up!" or wanted to relax him a bit and said woah... It was so very sweet. :)

  • all the distances look so deep to me...

  • @allik93 i felt like he was chippin in half the time. scary spots some of them

  • This is so awesome. What an awesome experience! I want a helmet cam now xD

  • 0 dislikes! :)

  • Wowza!

  • This is a great idea, but the wide lens makes me dizzy.

  • I was releasing every time they went over a jump. And I was excited for the wide triple bar. Is that sad?

  • Wow! Iam used to watching cams in race cars; this is 10x more exciting! Terrific is terrific, he took those HUGE jumps as if they were beginners crosspoles.

  • that was amazing! =D

  • wow this is awesome ! moremoremoree ! xD

  • that was awesome but it made me dizzy :\ :L

  • That was awesome!!!! Felt like you were actually on the horse!! Thanks!!

  • this is SOOOOO much better than a video game

you really get a sense of how quickly (at least indoors) those jumps come up, and we're in the same position as the horse, we don't know which jump he's supposed to take until he's practically taking off

very interesting (if a little scary), I look forward to more

  • This is an interesting video. I love the perspective, but it's a little scary cos you can't see the horse's poll all the time. Ahah.
