To me, this is the most brutal of all of the martial arts. These two young men are totally in top shape. One interesting thing, after the KO at 9:41 Win Tun, the winner, went to Lone Chaw and bowed to him, thanking him for the fight. There was no arrogance we frequently see among our western fighters. He was a consummate professional, and gentleman. A true athlete. Thank you for posting this fight.

Win Tun is an top notch Thai figher, I haven't seen sharp fast striking techniques like that in a longg time, except when I went to Asia & saw some underground fights in Macau. But thats different, in Macau, after midnight its a different city, the corrupt arm of the law has no jurisdiction.

you're right about Muay Boran, its much deadlier than Muay Thai. It has locks, trapping, sucide attacks & arieal attacks that require alot of skill; much more skill than Muay Thai.

What's interesting is that the world is finding out that Muay Thai is not that special and there is nothing mysterious about it. The reason I say this is because the Australians that practice Thai boxing are beating them at their own game.

And yes you are right their a lot of arial attacks because they are assuming the opponent is going to move and run away and arial attacks are the solution for this.

Baukauw w/ 219 fights only 47 KO's under Lethwei rules is only 47 wins. Not even 25% win rate. The rest of the fights would be draws. There's no point system which means you have to finish. Bakauw would do poorly under Lethwei system. His bullshit point fighting wouldnt do jack.

one more thing there is no weight class in Lethwei and Win Tun being roughly 155 which is about what Bakauw weighs. Win Tun fights guys much bigger than him. How bout Bakauw fight Lone Chaw who weighs about 200 lbs and is 6'4" which is exactly Win Tun had to fight. I'd say Lone Chaw would destroy Bakauw.

dude check out Win Tuns other fights. He proves that size doesn't really matter in Muay Thai, its skill. He moves much faster than the heavier set opponents and strikes faster than 'em.

Would have to learn Nogueira Juijitsu and Olympic Greco to go with this but I beleive this is the best stand up. Add solid Nogueira ground game and it would be unstoppable.
