i love obama, when he speaks..i jus feel at ease, and i have so much trust in him, & trust that he will get america back on track & back to where we need to be! we need change america, and barack obama & joe biden can bring that change! OBAMA/BIDEN 08!!
I know what you mean. There were times during the second presidential depate where I had to ask myself, 'Huh?' when McCain was speaking. Obama just has a way of saying things so that everyone can understand it. I had to miss the last one because of work and I really wanted to see it.
a side of obama when he was back stage i've never seen, trying not to be nervous to talk to the world he would be a strong but honest and brave president.
I must admit at 22 I have not voted the previous 4 years I was capable. This year Obama has inspired me to finally get off my ass and participate. Obama is everything I have ever wanted in the White House. His vice president compliments him perfectly, and Michelle will be an amazing first lady the likes of which America has never seen. McCain is the opposite of everything we need. I cross my fingers every single day wishing so hard this man will win.
He's amazin! Too bad I can't vote yet. Man like him make me proud of being in this country, of being a witness of this historic moment. I'm an american by choice, not by accident and never been more proud of it. Go Obama, God Bless You and God Bless the USA!

Republicans: "save us form the Republicans and vote Republican"
That has been the message from the Republican convention. Vote for change for the last 8 years, vote republican again. If the public listen to that, I give up on the U.S.
Yes totally, everyone in the Republican Convention were hardcore white people, A view that's increasingly does not reflect the demographics of a 21st century America
He knows that it's time for our government to work for us, the people, not the privileged few. It's time for morality, and accountability. It's time for righteous indignation! It's time for change! That's why we must elect Barack Obama as our President of the United States of America!
Barack Obama is the real deal! He's not in this because of greed, nor pride, not because of envy, nor ambition. He's here because he, like the majority of us, knows that America is better than the current administration and where self serving big-business has taken us.
We have heard only negative comments from the Republicans this week. Pathetic ravings of 2 year olds. Silly, pathetic ravings. Listen to the positive drum that is Obama.
As a Canadian I can assure you fellow Americans that 8 out of 10 people here would vote for Obama. But having seen John Kerry go down in 2004 makes me very skeptical about the real potential for change in your country. How come 40% of Americans would still vote for another 4 years of Republican administration is a mystery to me. That said, wow, what a great orator Obama is.
American People Wake Up..The Media wants us to Believe That This is a close race that Obama only has a 8% lead Wake Up. Obama gives a speech 80,000 people show up McCain and the republican convention barley got 10,000 people. Just look at any video when you see a Obama speech you see people of all races genders, ages coming together. McCain is a man who ran out on his wife and kids. To be with a 21 year old rich girl at 45. Who picked his VP after a 15 min phone call.. Wake Up People
I have loved politics since I was a child when Bill Clinton ran. My first vote I ever cast was for Al Gore. I have longed for someone to come along and inspire the nation in the way JFK, Bobby Kennedy, and MLK did. Thank You Barack Obama for giving me something to believe in.
All I've heard by and about Palin is what she is.."Barracuda", "Pit Bull", "Soccer Mom"..not much about what she is capable of accomplishing. Biden has spelled out very clearly what he intends to do as Vice President. Obama/Biden!!!
Barack Obama is a statesman, superb orator and true American patriot who coolly exudes charisma and intelligence. So John McCain's only hope is to peddle his tired "Messiah" and "devoted follower" rhetoric and hope his petulant, puerile irate jackass persona seems flattering in comparison.
Screw that typical republican bs that Sarah Palin had in her speech.
It was such typical "Republican bashing on Democrat" crap when Palin spoke.
AND about Palin bashing Obama on the fact that being a "community organizer" doesnt mean anything, that's a load of crap.
A Community Organizer DOES have responsibilities. They are responsible for helping families that have lost jobs, going through tough financial times, etc (which is wht Obama did with families in Chi. neighberhoods)

Look at the facts about mcCain. did he ever talk about how will he unite this nation. All you hear about McCain is hate and discrimination, and false accusations made. Check the Facts
all mccain cares about is abolishing abortion, how is that going to help anybody. He isnt a "maverick" he votes with bush 90+% of the time, and now that hes the candidate, has decided to vote against his own bills in the senate. He claims that the democrats are loyal only to their lobbyist but barack didnt even take lobbyist money in his campaign. Mccain says that obama will raise taxes for "us" and by us he means the top 5% of the upper class. Obama will lower everyone else's taxes.
Yeah... he's is Bush's twin brother... more of the same... and all i ever hear is how he was a P.O.W.... i appreciate his sacrifice but that by no means, means he can run and should run this country....
I do. He has still yet to say what he will do for the economy, and he voted no on Katrina aid. My great-grand father was the Gov. Louisana a long time ago, and when Mccain voted no, I lost respect in his "Maverick" He's still a war hero, which he reminds us everyday.
I do DeadlyMACD. McCain's voting AGAINST: renewable energy, VA outpatient care, the GI Bill, public education, restructuring trade relations w/China, and more...While simultaneously voting for a boost in allowed congressional gifts and missing no less than a dozen votes on Iraq and personally lobbying to table a vote to provide troops with sufficient vests/tents/helmets. His flip-flops on SocSec, abortion, gay rights, and taxes seem disingenuous. Also, I don't "oppose" McCain. I SUPPORT Obama.
Barack Obama is the only decent choice, and he has been since the beginning of this race. It will be a beautiful thing, to have a president I'm PROUD of once again, as opposed to the illiterate embarrassment of the past eight years. I just lost my job, but if I were able to afford it, I would donate every dollar I legally could to this campaign. I'm hopeful for the future, after many years of not being so. This is not merely an election anymore- this is a referendum on the future of America.
if you don't have any fresh ideas, then you use stale tactics to scare the voters. If you don't have a record to run on, then you paint your opponent as someone people should run from.
I am a firm independent, but after reviewing the Obama-Biden plans for the economy vs those of Mccain-Palin the Obama-Biden ticket is clearly superior. I mean 95% of citizens with will get a tax cut under Obama. People who support McCain are just missing the facts. He's no maverick he voted with Bush more than 90% of the time. And since when did longetivity become experience? McCain votes with his party not his own free will. Maverick year right. Thats republican rhetoric trying to counter Dems
Who thinks Obama will win? I think John McCain will be another president bush and countinue to make america look stupid even though countries used to admire us. Why does are goverment have to be so money hungry now?
How long do we have to wait for the first in depth foreign policy questions to Sarah Palin the hockey-mum? How long does she need to get the talking points and slightly a bit more?
McCain/Palin - it's not yesterdays politics, it's from last week...
It seems to me that they are trying to "give her index cards" can you believe so that she will be up on forgien policy. UMMMM, this is not high school honey, your running for President of the United States.
How long do we have to wait for the first in depth foreign policy questions to Sarah Palin the hockey-mum? How long does she need to get the talking points and slightly a bit more?

I was happy to see many people of color in the audience at the DNC. At the RNC? Uh, I think I saw 4 black guys in the crowd during Palin's speech. 99% of the crowd was white.
his Doctorate in Law from Harvard while being the president of the Harvard Law Review, with 8yrs as State Senator and 4 yrs as US Senator and member of the Foreign Relations Committee deemed never ready to lead. . .
. . .yet a white evangelical ultra conservative woman, with 19 months as Governor of Alaska and a Bachelor of Journalism considered ready on day one.
o_O
It is disgusting. I thought John Mccain was scary, however Palin frightens me!
The Republican convention is a movement of hate and division. Just watch those screaming rep. speakers, spweing their manure of hate. Wow what a difference between these to conventions.
"America, we are a better country than this! "It's time for Republicans to own their failures. It's time for us to change America! Its on behalf of my heroes, like my mother, that I intend to win this election and bring back the promise of America! Tonight I say to the people of America: to Democrats and Republicans and Independents across this great land: ENOUGH!. On, November 4th we must stand up and say, EIGHT IS ENOUGH!"
The Republican Convention looked like all White Convention, lot's of cowboy hats, there is no diversity whatsoever. Republican party is anti abortion so they can raise dead soldiers!!
they keep bringing religion into politics. Lets use rational ideas and not Ideology... You want better schools? Goood.... than we must raise some taxes. A wome cannot choose? Please.... Republicans say they don't want government to tell people what to do,but they will tell a women what to do when it comes to whether she wants to keep a baby or not. drill baby drill that was the repub. convention slogan... Big oil will keep decieving people...
Q:How can [Sarah Palin] honor people that served in the military, but can't acknowledge people that served there community? This is a slap in face of anybody that served there community. Real talk!
Palin = looking down on great community organizer/activist/leader such as MLK, etc. What a lose for the Mccain camp. Obama will gain more votes because of this! The black vote will turn out in record numbers this nov., just watch!
Lord do we need this young man to win this election bad. The skys the limit with President Obama not just for us in the US but change throughout the World. NO COUNTRY FOR OLD MEN, NO MCCAIN!
He gives me hope, that we are all capable and willing to be better people, better neighbors, better nation. We can heal, we can prosper, we can learn from each other. And we can do it all together.
I am Canadian but I tottaly support Barack Obama and his vision. I will be watching eagerly in Novemner. Its time for our troops to pull out of Iraq. We lost three of our soilders today. I pray and believe that he will BE the next President of the United States Of America.
I lost my job because I was sick for 1 day! That's what happens when companies get greedy. Stop this economy from losing humanity, VOTE OBAMA 08, please and thank you!
Independent for Obama, not for the color of his skin, but for the color of his words. Doesn't make sense? It seems to me that Mccain speaks green, lower taxes for the big corporations (of course, theyre backing him now with all of their green.) Obama speaks in red, white, and blue. Supporting tax cuts for 95% of Americans, Increasing taxes for those making above $600,000 a year. Citing the Washington Post for that information. Obama for President, 2008. Country before Corporate.
During recent trip to UK:Everyone there (to whom I spoke) was very interested in what is going on here. The things they told me were unanimous:They(to a person)wanted Hillary just so Bill would be back.If she didn't, they would MUCH rather have Obama than McCain who they see as Bush with a temper.I think that they watch our politics even more closely than we do because the our mess is closer to their backyards than our own.
I'm still on a natural high after seeing the DNC each night! Such a wonderful group of people ready to turn things around in a positive manner! Barack and Joe are the ones and we're all ready to work with them!
Barack Obama made history that night. Thank you Senator Obama, thank you. Thank you for pursuing your dream on becoming president of the United States to help the country. You are one amazing guy.
We believe in Obama!! Please mean what you say and do not let Washington politics ruin the man we have come to respect for advocating change. The main reason we love you so much is that we believe that you have not been corrupted by Washington b.s. Never change who you have made us believe you are. You have made history now make the most of every moment of it! The best of luck in November....Yes we can cause we as one and we believe
Barack Obama "IS" the next President of The United States of America. Amazing Speech that took my breath away. He's got my vote and everyone I know, even in this red state....Go Obama...Go
McCain is an idiot. Look at his pick for Vice President. He did that just to win votes not because she was a good choice. Same old Bull playing the television game. I used to be McCain, but now I have my doubts.
Why are none of my comments going through? Just because I'm skeptical of Obama's claims and want to discuss them? Does the Obama campaign not agree with free speech?
There's a good chance, because majority of the people are going under on this current path. If he can work the campaign trail hard, show the U.S that he is a hard worker like most people, then his chances improve. We've had enough fighters destroying us in this world and not enough hard workers... Work hard and have a good rest when necessary that is all... That ain't magic!! That is common sense...and it's been missing for too long in politics.
Slick smoke and mirrors. Obama would drive the USA economy into the ground if elected. It is always a mistake to pick a VP who outshines the candidate. Biden would have given McCain a race. Look for 65%-35% results in the election.
The debates will show how weak the Dem's candidates are. Biden will have to tread lightly otherwise he will look like a bully beating on Palin.
When the truth comes out about Obama being supported by the Arabs and Iranians his popularity will go down the drain.
anyone who votes for john mccain should be sent to iraq UNarmed. after all: a vote for mccain is a vote that basically says "i don't care about this country." why live here?
What is Mccain and Palin's education? What degrees did they get? What were their GPAs? Did Palin graduate in Communication with a BA? If so, what was her high school GPA and SAT scores?
America deserves to know more about these candidates and their education! Obama campaign, find out for America!
America deserves to have people with high education and high values as Commander in Chief and Runner Up, and not "Barbie and Ken Dolls". Do you want a "Barbie Doll" to fire nuclear missiles?
Please dont even mention it. She holds a BA and McCain went through military school which we was at the bottom tier. She had the nerve to attack this man. Please!!!!
Another thing, why is obama comparing himself to a vice president and not to mccain or joe biden vs sarah palin? This means he actually finds competition on someone who is applying for a job that is at a lower rank than his. lol. It's like a manager trying to say he is better than a assistant manager. It turns out that a vice presidential candidate is more 31-47 times more qualified than Barack. Good Job Barack Obama on cheating your way into office. hahahahaha
Because McCain's supporters have argued that her experience is more significant that Obama's. Makes sense that if someone brings up criticism, you address the criticism. The Republicans have committed to a strategy of ad homonym attacks on the man, rather than what he stands for.
I find it funny that Barack Obama believes that just by having 2500 employees and being paid 3 times the amount of Sarah Palin makes him more quilified. Why is he comparing his current job to Palin's previous one. Palin is a now a governor and handles 31 times the budget obama does and employees 77,000. I guess when you feel that you're gunna lose you can't do anything else, but lie to make yourself look better.
Sarah Palin...? thats a laugh... i appreciate her strides and achievements but having her as VP especially as old as Mccain is... thats a very very scary thought
How can we put our Country First? 1) Teach your kids how not to get pregnant until he/she can be responsible for supporting that child. 2) Get your country off of its black crack (oil) addiction. 3) When you send your soldiers to fight, make sure they are finding the person who bombed your country. 4) When a party completely ruins up your country vote them out of office.
I remember Kennedy; how it felt to have a bright, thoughtful, compassionate president and an America of real promising change. Each of you who voted for Bush's disasterous presidency OWES America a vote for Obama. Bush's reign plunged us into war with the wrong country, destroyed our image abroad, adopted torture as acceptable, put our economy in crisis and trillions of dollars in debt and left no student unscathed. Restore American's hope and prosperity and vision. VOTE YOUR DEBT! Vote Obama.
Now I can't wait until January.

I just lost my job, but if I were able to afford it, I would donate every dollar I legally could to this campaign. I'm hopeful for the future, after many years of not being so. This is not merely an election anymore- this is a referendum on the future of America.

What is Mccain and Palin's education? What degrees did they get? What were their GPAs? Did Palin graduate in Communication with a BA? If so, what was her high school GPA and SAT scores?
America deserves to know more about these candidates and their education! Obama campaign, find out for America!

Good Job Barack Obama on cheating your way into office. hahahahaha
Jalisencio89 3 years ago
What the hell are you talking about? You sound like a fool. Obama DOESN'T compare himself. The repugs and the corporate media who support them do.
JennfromPenn 3 years ago
Because McCain's supporters have argued that her experience is more significant that Obama's. Makes sense that if someone brings up criticism, you address the criticism. The Republicans have committed to a strategy of ad homonym attacks on the man, rather than what he stands for.
seymour23 3 years ago
Because he was asked directly how his experience stacks up against hers. It was a direct response to a direct question.

Each of you who voted for Bush's disasterous presidency OWES America a vote for Obama. Restore American's hope and prosperity and vision. VOTE YOUR DEBT! Vote Obama.
