Dark Knight gets snubbed time to riot!

almost every film on imdb's top 10 didn't wins best picture. The Oscars judge's film by Story not film and they prefer unoriginal stories. How 2001: Space Odyssey, the most perfectly filmed film ever made, didn't win is beyond me. Starwars Empire Strikes Back, Fight Club, There Will be Blood, A Clockwork Orange, Blade Runner, Memento, Trainspotting, Indian Jones. The Oscars show a sense of discrimination towards action and abstract films. Even when they out perform ordinary films.

Academy always screws things up and Milk was nominated for political reasons. And I think of the top 5 grossing films of all time it's the only one not to get the best flick nod which magnifies how they screwed up. no wonder cristian bale went off

The Reader is the real problem, it demonstrates the Academy's pretension and inclination towards october-december prestige pictures.

Now there is one major problem on youtube. There are too many Ledger haters who believe he won out of sympathy. Which we know to be untrue due to the fact that only 2 posthumous awards have been given out(peter fich and heath ledger). There are too many people disrespecting the dead. @filmmanvick16 I highly disagree with that statement that The Dark Knight was just a stupid Batman flick;however, I do agree with you on the fact that Forrest Gump was better than pulp fiction(not the Shawshank redemption however I think they're pretty much equal). Pulp Fiction was good and entertaining but definately not Oscar worthy material in my book. Quentin Tarantino in my opinion is highly overrated.

I actually expected the Dark Knight to get snubbed because the academy has an odd taste in films.Notice films that have a huge climactic scores never win,lord of the rings is an anomaly.The academy likes their movies silent and independent with drawn out ambiguous scenes(e.g) No Country For Old Men. I think the academy will give best picture to MILK ,the academy is politically liberal and a friend to the gay community that's currently fighting for civil rights and Sean Penn did great.
