  • It's obviously a reception/cocktail event. Not a concert. The music is background, not the event reason.

  • Wow. People are very rude. When gorgeous music is being playing, or when ANY music is being shown, you shut up.

Very well done- for what you were working with. Would love to hear without the idiots talking.

  • Sicuramente è molto originale ........ peccato che l'originalità non faccia la musica ....

    ciao ciao

  • AAAAAHHHH ITS SO SLOW! i love this song and it need to be Fortissimo!!!!

  • Sounds awful...

  • Far too slow lacks vitality it deserves

  • what the f*** is this?

  • tempus fuget.

    Terrible slow.

  • what a little more tempo would have done for this!!

  • yes , true.

  • well if the freakin people could be taken out it would be amazing

  • All trumpet players automatically go to Heaven. Everybody else must beg God.

  • What a weird thing to say.

Anyway, if true, this one certainly wouldn't. He's all over the place.

  • too slow, lacks that brightness and clarity of tone that makes this a thriller

  • I think the harpist is my harp teacher

  • Odio el ruido del fondo!!!

  • :D This is amazing!

  • 0:24 - 0:50 Jeux Sans Frontieres forever! :-)

  • speed it up but great trills

  • 2 things:

    1:bit faster

    2:get audience to listen up

trumpet was fine, just that audience messed up the moment...

  • who died?

  • Haha! Funny comment!

  • the audience sucks

  • To be honest, I really didn't like this recording. It may have been something about how it was recorded, but everything simply sounded out of tune and the trumpet sounded sloppy, lethargic, and out of tune. I don't think you should worry too much about the awful audience, considering it is a wedding and the people are there for the wedding, not to hear the music.

  • Horrible audience great trumpeteer and violinists

  • Great musicians! Horrible audience....

  • yeh, im no expert but a bit faster would have done it wonders for the trumpeteer

  • Dreadful audience!!!

  • I so agree! The music is wonderful though!

  • can anyone else not hear the flute?

  • Maybe the video is at half-speed!

  • whoo. great trumpet player. I play french horn, brass ftw :]

  • in my school i play this song on my trumpet

  • amazing

    love the song

    brass for the win

  • What a lovely piece. I would love to clobber the ignorant people behind the camera who were chit-chatting away at such a spiritual moment.

  • it's way too slow!

i can play this on my flute, oh the

greatness of listening to ipod and playing along with no music haha!

  • This was played at princess diana's wedding i think. Wasn't it?

  • Not this version... cos it's crap.. but yeh the Prince of Denmark's March was played when Diana married Charles. Vid is on youtube somewhere..

  • The flautist looks like Eileen Grimshaw :]

  • I am no expert but this is played so slowly that it becomes turgid. Remeber its proper title is the Prince of Denmark's March. I defy anyone to march at this tempo. pity because the soloist gets a nice tone from the trumpet.

  • awesomne! im gona try playing this now

  • At 0:26, when he does the "trill," aren't you supposed to triple-tongue the same note instead of pressing the valves like that? And if you are supposed to press the valves like that, how do you stay on the same note while you press them like he's doing?

  • He's not staying on the same note. He's doing a baroque trill, in which you start on the note a whole step above the written note, and "trill" between the starting note (the high one) and the written note. That's what a trill is. A trill has nothing to do with triple tonguing.

  • BORING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The only way you can write a piece like this is if you are able to walk 200 yards with a penny in your ass crack and keep it from falling out. But first you would have to secure a 2 x 4 to your back to keep you from bending at the waist. You could never make love to this much less dance to it.

    Nevertheless it's extremely well played.

  • The audience is talking because they're obviously at a bridal show or something of that nature.

  • I bet the audience is talking because it is probably at some party and the group was hired to perform music during it and they were preoccupied with there conversations to properly admire the music playing

  • Nicely preformed!

  • Audiences are so rude!

They didn't even clap at the end

  • I hate when people talk and don't hush when the music is being performed. It's so rude.

Nicely done, considering the noise though.

  • @englishrosedancer You can't find anyone to give them a good whipping and clubbing these days!

  • I agree that the audience ruined it. Also, whoever did the recording of the video might have positioned closer to the musicians (but this is not always possible, I know).

  • Very good performance!

But the audience damn well ruined it.

  • Musique de très bonne qualité mais qui n'accouche pas le tempo etant infiniment trop lent.

  • what the hell is the audience talking during a performance for?

  • You'd think the audience would stop talking.

  • Agreed!!

  • Why so slow. The instrumentation should be more balanced. It seems somewhat informal but still...

  • Brilliant!

  • To darn slow!

  • Agreed!!

  • Agreed also!

  • agreed a third time!!

  • gosteii

    legal

  • Wynton Marsalis played this piece very well with the English Chamber Orchestra on the Gabriels Garden album. If a faster tempo and charisma is what you desire, I highly suggest this album.

  • It's not a serenade, don't play it like one!

  • I would have also loved to hear some more oomph from the trumpet, but then again I'm a trumpet player myself so I would always like that :D The guy sounds like a great player, he just needs to add some snootiness, pomp, oomph, whatever you want to call it :) In my not-so-humble opinion.

  • It sounds ok (If you're trying to put them to sleep.) PUT SOME OOMPH INTO IT!!! Up the tempo a bit. The trumpeter should be playing like hes proud to play this piece. Harp was good. Flute, Violes and Cello could be louder. Needs more bass. But overall very well done!

  • What do you mean by "OOMPH". It seems perfectly find articulations in it... Sure, It's not fast, but it's not a kick in the balls either...

  • Mmm - well, each to their own, and they certainly played it well. Even so, I think I'd prefer it if they stepped on the gas a bit . . .

  • I agree 100%. I would like to get my hands on the sheet music for this. I'll bet the tempo was a lot quicker than this.

  • Nice.

  • i love the picclo trumpet
