  • I have this exact one, the 07 WR450F, and I can truly say it's an amazing bike. It's light, it's thin, and the right amount of power for my size. I'm 5'7 and just under 200 pounds, so it is a little tall for me but I manage. I'll probably lower it an inch and get a softer seat. I want to get a bigger tank too for the desert trips. I got a steering stabilizer on it, and I totally recommend the Acerbis hand guards. The ones that wrap all the way around and screw into the side of the handle bars.

  • quads will rule the earth

  • im 5'6 could i ride a wr250?

  • Zinck67...are you all there? It's an Enduro bike dip shit.

  • Wr is the woods bike. The yz is an mx bike but the yz also makes a good trail bike depending on how u ride.

  • I have the 09 and love it if people bitch and moan that its not a race bike... There stupid, get diffrent jets, and change cams, and a new pipe and you have a green sticker (california) bike

  • I'm from Costa Rica and I'm thinking of buying this one! Can you tell me how much is it?

  • we meat again 240p...

  • @MrSkiier96 so lame

  • I am 5'5 13 years old, 130 lbs and have been riding since i was 3 so im not a bad rider, im stuck between getting a yz125 or a wr250, but i dont even know if ill fit. I dont want to be stuck bogging around on a ttr anything. Does the wr250f seem like the right bike?

  • @deathcomrad99 im 5'9 and 160 pounds and it works perfect for me

  • Gettin a black one. Seems like the best bang for buck wr250

  • Yamahas rock

  • MMMMMMMMMMM so sexy

  • It would be awesome if i got a Yamaha, Someone was riding mine and somehow got it to start on fire.

  • what bike is better for mainly trail riding, wr250f or yz250f? for a beginner?

  • @JACF7427 wr obviously

  • @JACF7427 WR450F

  • @clyddoudou i said for a beginner? im not starting on a 450, but ill take it wr

  • thats no fucking trail/woods bike thats a fucking street bike a really motocross bike dont got no gay lights and electric start get this bullshit off youtube i thought i was gonna see something good jesus wasnt i wrong

  • @zinck67 It is a trail bike. It's the same thing as a yz with different spension and tuning. It's geared better for trail riding. The honda 250x is it's evil twin with no electric star.

  • @zinck67 damn you are dumb

  • I'm getting that 250 as soon as me and my dad finsh the trail

  • Fuck yeah man this is incredable bike Good Job YAMAHA

  • I'd suggest either this bike or a Honda CRF250X for trail riding.

  • my cousins looking for a new bike, preferrably 250 4-stroke. mostly trails. and suggestions on what bike to get?

  • how much for it

  • electric start?? wtf yes it may be easier to start but all that does is give you one more thing that could possibly go wrong miles out in the mountains and woods And makes it heavier. and makes you look like a weekling cause you press a button instead of kick starting the bike

  • funny but i like yamagasm better

  • can these be street legal?

  • @psykho15 depends on which state ya live in

  • @bandguy360 indiana

  • @psykho15 i think so just because of the speedo and the signals on the bike but dont quote me on that one lol :D

  • @spongebobisaboss thanks homo lol i guess i shoulda say in my state

  • dear yamaha, please make th ewr450 street legal in ny again, and optional supermoto trim

    thanks

  • would the wr250f be a good bike to step up to form a ttr125l?

  • @dakota9309 i went from a 2003 tttr125l to an 07 wr450f when i was 14. took a little bit to get used to the power and weight but im glad i didnt get a 250

  • @dakota9309 yeah, or a yz250f

  • You went all the way to costa rica just to say wt we could easly see in a garage?!

  • what kind of dirt bike do you think would be good for a 5'4 140 male

  • @CR6fbs Depends on what you want to do. My dad just picked up a WR450F and loves it. Couple weeks later (last weekend, in fact), I picked up a DRZ400S. Both are great bikes, for different things.

I'm 6'1, 185lbs, but you could lower the suspension on either bike and be fine. It's more about how what you have the balls to ride, rather than the physical size of the bike.

  • titanium end cap oh my thats like having vtec right? i love this bike but in some areas they are stretching the significance of some parts

  • that video is so FUCKING OLD..

  • looks really fun but expensive

  • @Baipath Dad just picked a WR450F up for 5900 new out the door. Pretty decent price.

  • @7h3647h32in6 wow i just picked up a 450x for 7 grand thanks for making me feel better...

  • @InfamyXD Lol? That was sticker price on the WR in the showroom. Don't tell me you paid sticker...

  • huge uh... mountains

  • What's the difference between a dirt bike and a motocross racing bike? Is there actually a difference. They look the same....

  • @xXNinjaSKillaXx a dirt bike and a motocross bike are about the same the only thing is a motocross bike is usually what people call bikes that are built for motocross as the yz kx crf and some other bikes an offroad or trail bike has a softer suspension different gearing ratio and a higher ride hight usually. the wr 250/450 are mostly trail bikes meaning there built for the woods and wont do as well as a yz on a motocross track hope that helped :)

  • @kfx70099 oh and feel free to correct me to please im still a noob i dont have a bike i have a quad but wnt a bike

  • Is the new frame that big of an improvement? I'm in the market for a WR250F in the 05-07 range but the 07 is a bit out of my price range for what I have been seeing. Just wondering if I should avoid buying the 05-06 simply based on the frame? I was considering going for an 05-06 CRF250X because of the frame but I have heard the WR250s are more reliable... Something about the 250Xs valves needed a lot of maintenance. WR250 also seems to have a lot of nice free mods (grey wire etc.)

  • the wr 450f 2007 is a beutifull bike .. :)

  • @969chase i got the wr450f 2005.. .fucking awesome ride!!

  • duh why would anyone want a weak frame?

  • yamahas are very popular next to hondas i do believe. no offense to you loving yamaha riders but the yamaha frame looks like its built for fat people to ride it. not saying lightweiths cant ride it. the frame just looks very very tough.

  • @Slipdirtbiker why would you want a weak frame? its aluminium its lightwieght strong material. -____-

  • @Supertoaster1576 i never said i wanted a weak frame. make them as tough as it gets! but what i was saying was that the frame and everything else looks like it was built for a bigger person.

  • how many cc

  • @ass23ful 250

  • this bike made me have a yamahagasm

  • are these better than the yzf's?

  • F R E E Electronic Motorcycle Manuals here - ** freemotorcyclemanuals (dot) net **

  • what's theiers top speed the 250f and the 450f? can some 1 plz tell me?

  • does the wr450 have as much power as a yz450f?

  • Is the wr 450 f 2009 a good trail biek, becuase I think I will be getting one some time this summer or is to hard on gas to be used on the trails ??

  • When can I expect to see the 2010 wr450 hit the showroom floors?

  • never. They didnt make one because they have too many left from 07 08 09 . If they were smart they wouldnt put out another one that isnt fuel injected. Did you see the new suzuki? I have the 08 wr all set up but there are better bikes for sure. They must lose weight and run better if they want to continue to sell them.

  • Hi, im 16 years old from Canada, im planning on buying a new bike this upcoming summer. Im interested buying the wr450f, but my uncle says that you have to overall the engine every 50 hours. And i would like to know if this is true or not. Thank You. I mostly tend to do offroad trails. I have previously owned dirt bikes.

  • yea you do have to

  • I believe that goes for the yz, not the wr.

  • Because im in my last year of hight school, and i will be staying in town for 2 years to attend collage, then i will go to montreal for university. Do you think that the wr450f would last 2-3 wiht out and major motor reparis. Does it have a good bit of power and what is it's tops speed,i heard it is quiet fast biek, beucae of its comparsion to the yz450f. Thank You for commenting, you really helped my decision, i will let you know if i actually get the bike, fi you want...lol

  • Now I haven't owned one but I have a friend that works at the dealer and he said the wr is a tuned down version of the yz. and with that said, it would last a lot longer. But he also said that it had plenty of power. As for top speed...I would guess between 70 & 80mph. I owned a KLR 650 and the top speed for it was 100 mph. Also own a Yamaha V-max. Now that's a hell of a bike. I plan to buy a wr450f for myself because my crf 230 is lacking the power I'm looking for. Hope I helped.

    The Guz

  • @MrBikerboy77 sorry my english is not that good but what does overall the engine mean?? plz tell me cause im planning on buying 1 too

  • How do these bikes hold up as far as the engine. I'm 5'9 and weigh 165lbs and am looking for a good woods bike but also want to do about 10 races this year at the local mx track. I've not raced since 1986 and wouldn't be pushing the bike even close to it's limits, I just wonder how it would hold up. I don't wanna have to rebuild whatever bike I get every week.

  • @gatorrebel1970 I'm 5'8 and weigh 180 my Wr 250 has lasted me 3 racing seasons without even touching the engine at all. I don't think you will have a problem. Check out my vid.

  • Thanks alot, I really appreciate the info. I also checked out your video, nice work. I have found a great deal on a hardly ridden 2004 XR400R, I'm tempted to go that route just because of money. I"m gonna go check out the bike in a couple of days, if I don't love it, I think I'll just go ahead and get one of these Yamaha's.

  • @gatorrebel1970 If u want a good mx/ trail bike, get a cr 125! I have a 1998 cr 125 and i love it! It's a great trail bike and has enough juice to be at the top of the podium at ur mx track!

  • Thanks for the info man, I used to race on a YZ125, but that was a long time ago.

  • okay I am so buying one...do you think this is good for me though...I'm 13 years old 5ft5 and i love trail riding...my current bike is a 2007 ttr 125l and i love it but its too small for me now...i have a vid of my bike on my profile

  • @tjoulton it will be very high for you if u crash ull seriously get injerd ill reccomend you get a yz125

  • does anyone know how fast the 450 goes

  • I have an 05 Kawasaki KFX400 atv with the opportunity to trade for an 07 WR250F. What do you all think? I am damn good atv'r, but not to comfortable on two wheels. Not sure I'd get the hang of it before I broke something on my body. A buddy of mine is trying to convince me to get it so he'd have another bike friend to ride with.

  • i highly suggest trying two wheels. good luck

  • DO it, bikes are 100 times better

  • @kawikeith i rode quads for a long time and then switched to riding dirt bikes as a little challenge to myself and love it. Its a different animal from your quad but its sooo much fun and you will pick it up fast

  • @biggray250r Thanks for the confidence boost biggray. I did the deal and have been out a couple times. It is definatley a different animal. I think I will get the hang of it. The twist throttle and slick situations are my challenge right now. Later.

  • @kawikeith do it. I didn't start riding till I was 30 years old. Motorcycles are lots more fun then 4 wheelers. You can get a 4 stroke and plate it and ride places 4 wheelers can only dream about. When I go riding with 4 wheelers on trails they can't go where a bike can. peticulary if your riding something like a wr 250f.

  • @37enjoylife Thanks alot! I did it. Need to get out more. Want to but neighbor has other hobbies too. He's the only buddy I have that rides bikes. I am turning 40 this June and don't heal as fast as I used to. I need to respect the bike and my limits. I still feel nimble and halfway athletic enough to do it....i think. lol. I am ready to hit some trails and traverse terrain that quads can't. Just need to practice. Happy riding.

  • @kawikeith it all depends is the trails where u ride better suited for the atv or the dirt bike and if you ride for hours on end the atv offer more confront you can carry more gear with ya on the atv but the bike is much more fun to rideonce you try it you will not wanna ride any thing but a bike

  • @XXRichieXXrichXX Thats cool Richie...I was thinking about that. I've been going to Chadwick for about 7 yrs but have no interest there on two wheels yet. I like the softer stuff(dirt/grass) now but only if dry. It can get squirrley when slick and even with a new front tire washes out on me at times. I am liking it though. You all have been great at supporting my decision and helping with the confidence. Thanks alot.

  • jesus christ... WTF!! this bike.. in italy costs about 6000 euro...that means about 8000 usdollars!!!!! why i live in this shitty place!?!?!? i love that bike.... soo much...

  • I hed a WR 450 2006, now I ride KTM 525 EXC '07.

  • they dont have a kick start, that sux, only electirc

  • you can see the kickstart right on the side, it has both

  • @jonno6590 I wish my honda had both

  • titanium steel endcap??

  • it makes all the difference :D

  • adds 10 horse i bet

  • wat would be the top speed of the wr 450.

  • bahaha yess

  • a yz 250f and a wr250f have the same engine right?

  • Thank you :). it was a good job you said that one anyway cause i had just ordered it lol.

  • I carnt decide which motorbike to buy. I only do off road/serious trail riding. so which would you go for the wr450f or the yz450f

  • get the best of both worlds! wr450f ;)

  • the main difference is that the yz is a motorcross bike, where the wr has a light for late evening trail riding. going by your description go for the wr.

  • wr forshere unless ur into racing

  • the wr is similar, but has lights and is a bit heavier. both go hard but

  • is the wr good for jumping

  • it's pretty much an MX bike with lights, so it should go alright

  • I thought i wouldcome back i ended up getting a Honda crf 230 its a real good bike my cuz has a cr 85 and he likes it thanks everybody for giving me info

  • i am getting a wr250 and im 14

  • i got the wr250f

  • this is so out of date, review a new wr plz

  • you dumbass.. this was added 3 years ago

  • no fucken shit, thats why im tellin him to review a new one..

    professor

  • i really like the 250f, im gonna buy one for my learners, i was gonna by a 450 or 600 but they changed the rule again and your only allowed to have a 250. i live 40 km's from town so id be riding 80 km's every day, how often would this bike need valves checking and a rebuild at that rate?

  • You can ride a WR450F on your learners now, if you look on the Learner approved bike list, the WR450F is on it. Well that is for Victoria.

  • umm... can you drive this on public roads? is it usable in cities?

  • jkzr580 how much do you way i did not understand in your messeage

  • I'm maybe about 5'5 or 5'6 maybe and about same weight the only thing is im looking towards a 4-stroke I don't know i guess but both me and my step dad are lookin towards that

  • I'm 12 and plan to get a dirt bike I'm on the bigger side and wondering about a 250 i'll check in to see if anyone fills me in

  • How tall are you and whats your weight? I'm 5'11" 170lbs and I love my YZ125 to death. It fits me pretty well.

  • well if its your first bike then dont get a racing bike cus it has alot more power than just a trail bike and you will bust your ass in a heart beat lol ask anybody that can ride good and has been riding for a while. i know from expirience with a yz250f

  • would i be able to take this off some jumps with out ruining my suspension?

  • hell yeah. i jump mine all the time on big jumps. it socks the bumps up good. youll have to set the dampening stiffer

  • why do the numbers keep changing ?

  • am 5'8 and i only fit on this bike with one foot

  • im 5'8 and i can almost flat foot both feet with an 07 WR 250f

  • your 100 is probably

  • im 4' 11" what is a good size bike 4 me,im tired of my 100

  • try a ttr-230

  • lol dont get a 230 man get a cr85 expert or rm85l

(i was in the same position)

  • i went on a ride with someones 150,it was a good size

  • get a kx 100 or 125

  • screw 100 or 125 get a 450

  • gggggggggggggggggggggggg

  • WOW!

    i can't wait till i get my wr250f

    soooo awsome

but could due without the light on the front

    brand new 2009 wr250f

    getting it in 3 days!!!!!

costa rica looks like a nice place to ride

  • Fuk a 4 stroke

  • fuk?

  • There's been times I wish my 426 had the "Magic-Button".....oh-well lol, some day

  • it just adds weight to the package , i prefer bikes without it

  • no doubt me to!

  • is the one he using as the example the 450?

  • 0:30

  • how much the BHP WR250F

  • great bike thats seen major changes deserves a big intro :)

  • honda kawasaki suzuki yamaha dirt bikes witch ones better

  • i like kawasaki and yamaha the most, hondas are good too but mine had some problems after the first couple of weeks but nothing major.

  • honda, totally:)

  • its all opinion and ur sense of riding style

  • The wr 250f is a 2 or 4 stroke?

  • its a 4 stroke

  • the "f" means 4 stroke

  • Why didn't you like WR250F?

  • I want that job

  • same here...

  • why?

  • What year WR did you ride? '07 was the first year they did alum. frames and other things to make it more nimble. Just like this review says, they slimmed it up, lightened it, and modeled it more toward the YZF.

I bought an '08 WR250F last week so I speak from very recent experience when I say that words like "heavy" or "sluggish" are nowhere near my mind when riding. "Beast" was more like it. Everybody who has ridden my bike says it's more nimble than my brother's KTM, including my bro

  • can that go on the freeway without burning out the engine?

  • the wr 250f or the crf250f would be better for me im 5'2?

  • Stating your opinion is one thing. However, how you go about it, is another. Sluggish is one thing. Your choice of words is yet another. I personally feel WR's are great bikes. What bothered "me" was your choice of words. You likely offended others like me, who have had over-the-top experiences on a WR. I rode with CRFXs, KTMs and others. Rider "skill level" aside, the WR typically came at or near, the top of the heap. Go figure.

  • im 150 pounds 5'2 what bike do you recamend for me?

  • i would say a 250

  • Hey "treesareourfriends", if I were one of those trees, I'd crack your spleen open... You sure are opinionated! You are completely mistaken about the typical WR450F. Fast, reliable, and great-handling is more like it. Personally, I've had several makes myself. Bikes up one side and down the other. -WR's are "amazingly POWERFUL" and "great handling bikes", of that there isn't the faintest doubt. How your take can be so contrary, I haven't a clue! 'Easy' with the deragatory comments, please...

  • my neighbour has th wr its the best omg i want it
