I am a novice, can you show how to setup the topwater lures? I place the lure without any weight on the line then when I cast the lure, the rest of the line goes out of the spool. Then if i put weight on the line and cast the TW lure it is no longer TW.

@decoysupreme (I'm assuming your using a bait-casting reel?)Well the problem is u dont have enough tension on the spool. There is a spool control mechanism behind the drag and reel. It tightens the spool, and also practice alot with a bait-caster. Get the feel of using your thumb to keep the tension on the spool. Hope it helps.
