  • Hi,I have Radius P210 VHF and have a problem.

Two days ago it was fully functional but today when I pressed button below the monitor button (button that make "call" to another radio) radio play continous tone while button is pressed

Can you help me to fix it? Sorry for my bad english I am from Croatia

  • so they are like city wide range 50 miles is it like city range.and you can find them on ebay for a low price.

  • @att2112 Depending on the terrain Buildings,Hills, and such you get pretty good range radio to radio. Yes, you can get them on eBay for a pretty good price. In fact the one in the video is from eBay. Just look up "Motorola P200" on eBay. Granted they are used but generally in good condition. A little cleaner and will fix them up!

  • @att2112 I don't know much about this radio but in the description he makes reference to GMRS and FRS which are UHF services. UHF is more practical for short range indoor use. If you had an excellent repeater (or 2) with an antenna mounted higher than the other buildings you could get close to 50 miles in a city. If you are serious about talking over a long range get a mobile VHF radio that puts out 25+ watts RF power, but you should still have a high mounted antenna at your base station.

  • so they are like city wide range 50 miles is it like city range.

  • what do you know about the Radius P1225 2 channel?

  • @Bangkwai Sorry, I don't know that one.

  • What band is 400-470MHz and do i need a license for a radio in that range?

    Thanks

  • You don't need a license on the Family Radio Service or MURS BUT, you do need one if you are going to use them on GMRS,HAM, or Business Frequencies. If you don't have a license and use the frequencies you could be fined and possible jail time.

  • DO U NEED A FCC LICENSE???

  • @Sundancer213 Depending on what your gonna use the radio for YES you need a license.

  • You forgot to mention MURS channels that are license free too :-)

  • @mike6260 Thanks, I should have.

  • @PaulsPhotoService your welcome

  • i like these kind of radios because they look like cop radios!

  • @att2112 They do because Police and Public Safety did at one time. Now they are high tech radio's so, these type of radio's are left for GMRS,MURS, and other types of systems.
