He's not saying it to diss EQ, he clearly doesnt want any info leaked and think about it! They want to keep EQ1.2, players focused on those titles for as long as possible, a lot of EQ1 and 2 players do NOT want a EQ3, for one reason. it will hurt the numbers drastically on their titles. I do think this guy is a dick.I think they need to be a bit more enthusiastic! And a bit less business!Learn to market,AND NOT walk away from the original fan base! EQOA is still up! talk about it for fuck sake!

@Thrashersam i really believe they will release it for PS3.Final Fantasy dropped the ball with 11 and 14 and Sony is positioned perfectly to take the Fantasy MMO scene by storm on consoles,they released Everquest Online Adventures for PS2 in 2003it was an amazing game and is still up on PS2 9 years later!! thats pretty damn good considering. But they turned their backs on it long ago and just milk the 15$ sub fee now. To be fair it never had a chance without a HDD and EQ3 will pick up the slack!

eqoa was pure magic! It's so incredibly nostalgic for me it hurts! I met my wife on that game! CLW still has people on it but you all know it isn't the same. Eq isn't the same! Your starting towns are empty! Your old camps are abandoned! Eqoa tugs on my heart strings like nothing else!

He's trying to make great online games. Though, if they don't concentrate and give enough attention to particular titles (i.e. Vanguard), and if they don't THINK enough about what changes they make in games (i.e. SWG NGE), then it doesn't matter how big their umbrella is IMO. I know so many SOE haters out there. This due to questionable decisions made by Smed and the company in the past. If they screw up EQ Next, that'll be the nail in the coffin for me and SOE games...

Actually, i am quite Scared...EQ2 didnt rock if you played EQ1.

It couldnt hook me at all. Ive maybe played 6 Months thats it (Eq1 ive played almost 6 Years).

DC Universe, same Deal... great Game and Stuff, but executed so poorly (same with SWG/Vanguard).

The Chat System totally sucked, the Dailys are Boring, the Raids suck too (pop a Rock in a Wall, and protect the Rock...wtf?)

I really hope they dont execute Everquest3 as poorly as DCU, or it will be my last SoE Titel. We want Quality.

@Knopperz1975 VG was made by Sigil. They ran out of money. They said they would NOT go into a partnership with SOE because of what happened with EQ. Heh, need i say more? SOE pressured Sigil to release, they did, people were pissed off about the lack of completion... they left. Sigil went into super debit, sold to SOE... SOE failed it hard.

The people who are complaining are the ones who cant find a guild get into raids Do arena because there skill lvl is so low. Any other game isn't gonna change how horrible of a player you are so stop complaining, don't play something if your not good at it. @Verrie77 Well that's definitely true. In fact I just did that again. Went from WoW (became the best in 3months from lvl 1), to nothing, to RIFT (WoW in a mask), and now i updated to all 7 ex packs in EQ2. EQ2 always seems to be the failsafe for me. Perhaps I'll stick with EQ series from now on considering its the only mmorpg I've actually ever truly enjoyed! lol

@bbender1986 Well, the reason why was because EQ1 was still going really well, so instead of waiting, they just came out with EQ when it was the wrong time to do it. What they should have done was wait until EQ1 was getting a low population, then after all that they should have came out with EQ2. Also, within that time EQ could have been worlds different to what it actually was.
