The PIC reads 2 voltages drops (voltage dividers) at each LDR using the ADC module, than the software just calculates the difference between the values, if the difference is greater than a minimum value (to avoid unstable states) the step motor rotates left or right (depends on the difference, positive or negative) and stops when that minimum difference is achieved (panels facing the light source).
