Second, who besides elitists and tech addicted asians has time for all this utopian interaction at every turn? Last, all this tech looks shiny and sexy, but if it is like any other computer driven tool in that it will be broken down, locked, hacked, etc just when you need it. And this the reduction of mechanical parts there will be a huge loss in jobs

@petdog12 naw, that looks like the zune and windows phone interface. The ipod interfaces don't really appeal to me, it feels like using a box in a box, and it's too curved. It's just my personal preference, but MS's idea of an ideal interface totally has me.

Well, they speculate this is reality (by time of writing this post) in about 8 years or something. But 80% of what you see in this clip is technologically feasable right now. Problem is that it's quite the investment to really shape your house or company like that.
