  • This song is nothing other than incredible... It has me in awe.

  • :}

  • i can literally play this song 50 times a day and can't get tired of it...i love it so much solar fields is genius

  • jeg savner dig

  • solar fields g00d

  • New Solar Fields fan forum! Visit spectralnation [dot] com

  • Part of this track sounds suspiciously like Carbon Based Lifeforms -- Epicentre

  • where can i get the wallpaper at 6:24?

  • I think "Leaving Home" is, without exaggeration, one of the best albums of all time. It will probably be studied 400 years from now the way we now study classical music. The layering, the vision, the exquisite build ups, the instrument research and originality, the mental imagery that is generated, the fine crafting of each track... it's just mindblowing.

  • any other song that's similar to this one (trip-hop-like)?

  • @SubzeroedMind

Who am I - Peace Orchestra (Animatrix)

  • this CD really tells a story. It gives me great imagry in my head. Solar Fields is a sound genius.

  • Where can i find that wallpaper at 1:35 ?

  • @gilat6 PM me, mate.

  • That album design had the same layout as the 'Carbon Based Lifeforms' albums. Same producer? Same musicians?

  • I Love Trance Music !

  • @MrKaniu47 Me too, it resonates with my connection to the cosmos :)

  • This song (and video/pictures) reminds me of that game Homeworld...anyone know what I'm talking about?

  • @Fourty6to3 Oh, sure. HW was good. A bit old now, though. But it was quite a breakthrough in its time.

  • @TacticalSniper Yeah, I remember HW leaving me with the feeling of disparity because you were so far in outer space past the point of no return that there was nowhere to go but forward, and when you discovered something you wouldn't make it back alive to tell anyone about it..

If I remember correctly it had an awesome soundtrack like this as well, which brings back memories

  • @TacticalSniper homeworld yeaah :) hw 2 also!

  • @TacticalSniper is there anything newer/better? thanks

  • @ActiveStorage Well, I tried posting a clip of Cocoon Moon, but it was flagged by YouTube, unfortunately. If you're looking for a clip similar to the one here, I can try uploading that clip to another service (if I still have it around). If you're just looking for music - aforementioned GrooveShark can help you, AFAIK there's plenty of Solar Fields there. Also, search YT for Solar Fields and you'll find plenty more as well.

  • @TacticalSniper thank you. much appreciated

  • @Fourty6to3 What about the game EVE-Online. That's amazing.

  • @Djdjin Yea. Atleast the music on it!

  • @TheMikeBravo Hey hey hey! :) The game is fun. If you're into a slower spaced base MMORPG. :)

  • @Djdjin Yup EVE online is quality :) probabbly the best MMORPG (besides WoW) that ive actually played :), i listen to alot of solar fields stuff while i play mmorpgs's it gets me chilled ready for like raids and shiz :D

  • @TheTranquilityTeam Not to hi-jack this amazing song... but as soon as you said World of Warcraft, you lost all credibility with me. :) I just don't see how that is a good MMORPG. It's to easy to get max level. How about Ultima Online, Guild Wars, Everquest II. Those are great MMOs.

Again, sorry for the hi-jack. I love Solar Fields. He's my most listen to on l a s t . f m (MrFusco is my name there)

  • @Djdjin hehe np mate, but we all have different tastes in games ey? :D but yeah solar fields is great and so is H.U.V.A network :D and yeah guild wars...really isnt my thing i guess when you have played wow since beta it kinda gets to u XD

  • @Djdjin I know I'm not in this conversation at all but I just wanted to say that WoW is much better than all MMOs. The vast majority are copies or clones of it. Right now, WoW is the golden standard for MMOs. And I've played Guild Wars and gotten the max level, but it's been nowhere near as fun as in WoW, not to mention it's less of a challenge.

  • @Fourty6to3 I do. though its more like Eve online.

  • By the by, ladies and gentlemen, allow me to recommend Grooveshark. It is available for free (or $3 per month for VIP account) and you can find... I guess all Solar Fields albums there. Sorry for the advertising (no profits were made); I was thinking if you're really into this, that's the way to find the music.

  • @TacticalSniper Thanks for the share mate.

  • @haschkakor Magnus Birgersson

  • @TacticalSniper What are the names of the artists who made these pictures?

  • @79Pisces03 Oh, no idea, mate, sorry, although they deserve utmost respect. A few years ago, I downloaded the images from some Russian website.

  • @TacticalSniper Oh okay. Thank you though, for responding. :D

  • mint

  • Thanks for upload. If only Youtube allowed higher audio quality...

One question: where did you get those images in the video?

  • Oh, it was some Russian website that posted them. Not all of them together, some of them I've found in other places.

I could take the time to upload them, say to Rapidshare, if you'd like.

  • Hm... Could you please? It would be much appreciated. If you have some spare time, of course. If you upload them somewhere either reply to this comment or send me a message on my profile.

Thanks for your time, whether or not you decide to do this.

  • Look up Greg Martin. Hes the artist.

  • K, thanks.

  • No one does it better than solar fields. I would say Carbon based lifeforms is just as good, and I've heard Aes Dana is another group to check out..Nice photos to go with the song, btw.

  • Thank you, thank you. Tried to find fitting pics :). I've listened to CBL and it's somewhat close to this, think Aes Dana is a bit different... Still... No one's better than SF.

  • HUVA Network ? I can never tell the difference...

  • Solar Fields is one half of Huva Network, together with Aes Dana. They just released a new album "Ephemeris", which sounds amazing. Leaving Home is still my favourite though.

  • Haha :-D see that's why i couldn't tell the difference between Huva Network and Solar Fields ;-)

  • Glad you're enjoying it, guys

  • Yep, gotta agree on that!

  • clearly the shit, crank the volume!

  • Yep. No ifs, no buts....
