This is the Fullmetal Alchemist movie (Not from brotherhood) 'The Conqueror of Shambala'. At the end of the other series, when Ed "Dies" he crosses the gate to our world, while Al is still in there world. Sense Al gets his body back, he takes Edwards clothing, being sense he cant remember anything then being kids. He has a dream about Ed and finds a way to transfer some of his soul into a body of armor and sends it to Ed in the other world. From there they talk about opening the gate.
