  • Durbin had the advantage of being the only one in the field who was right handed. Lot less carry down and disruption of his line

  • Very nice to remember when professional bowlers were fine examples of self-control and class. These men esteemed the sport and fans worthy of dignified competition rather than Roller-Derby-like outbursts and personalities. Another thanks for posting!

  • @20alphabet I agree. The bowlers on TV today are a bunch of wild animals with little class. The bowlers on TV when it was on ABC acted a lot more professionally, sort of like golfers. However, it was always nice to see players like Holman, Salvino, and Pete Weber who showed emotion and had competitive fire.
