@Train2590 NYC Sanitation is the agency tasked with snow removal. It has a fleet of about 350 dedictaed Sander/Plow trucks, plus several hundred Sanitation trucks which are also fitted with plows. When the Sanitation trucks are employed in snow removal, they are carrying a full load when they do it.
@Aaron7760 Whenever there is a big storm and lots of snowfall, you got to realize they only have so many plow trucks. Since the city also owns the manciple waste they use garbage trucks since they are powerful and heavy enough to push snow.
why not Garbage trucks are heavy enough for the job
