  • do you go full extension cause i usually cant curl a 20kg on full extension but with a slight bent arm i can do heaps more

  • @julz7196 You should do atleast like 10reps with the preacher curls.

  • for people saying 'ohhh this excercise doesnt utilise a full range of motion so theres no point to it' are just being silly, he's not saying this is the only bicep excercise you should do, he is just showing you how to do it correctly!

  • EZ curl may be easier on your wrists, but it wont give you as much of a peak on your bicep. for that, your palms really need to be facing the ceiling. do it right now, just place your hands in the position an EZ curl bar might have (palms sort of slanted and inverted) then point your palms face up. you really feel it peak.

  • This guy should know not to have your hands turned in-ward while doing curls. Get hammer strength that way but you dont get the full effect of having your palms pointed at the ceiling. Thank you though.

  • Freeweight preacher curls do not maximize the complete range of motion. Once your forearms pass 90 degrees, it gets easier because gravity begins to work with you. By the time you get to the top, your biceps aren't working as much, they're just balancing the weight. Using a machine will maintain weight resistance throughout the entire range of motion. The resistance will still be there all the way thru. Using a curl machine will deliver faster results by utilizing full range of motion.

  • Quick question do you prefer dumbell preacher curls compared to barbell preacher curls. I would thing you get a better range of motion and greater bicept isolation with dumbells. Hit it back up bro.

  • I have the same curl bar... does anyone know how much weight its able to support? because I like to also use this bar for doing bench presses.. but im a little cautious throwing 150+ on it.

  • well nice vid but if the arms are a lil more stretched down and normal speed when your hands are going down and very slow on your way up , very good exercise if u want a shaped front biceps and i's good if u have a short biceps it will make it longer .

  • hammer curls concentrate the lateral head of the biceps and the standard curls does a bit a both with emphasis on the medial head.. mayb your medial head lacks strenghth?

    3-10

    10 with 10 pounds on each side

    10 with 15 pounds on each side

    8 with 20 pounds on each side

  • strectch before you do it and do less reps

  • i do it 4 times a week with 29 KG.. IT is one OF THE BEST exercises for biceps !!!

  • when u do the ex bar preacher curl does it work the inner biceps

  • I usually lower the weight to full extension. This dudes only doing it half way.
