I have driven my 1972 triumph Spirfire for the last 20 years, i drive tt everyday to work
and before that my Mum drove it for 12 years and for the first 4 year of its life Lady Macintosh owned it,I love the car and i can't bear thought of driving something else.
My dad, years ago took me out in a Triumph Spitfire. Handbrake turns and doughnuts and everything. I've loved it since I heard the name. I can still smell the burn rubber!
Dude, I was scared to take my spitty to the local shop without a tierod breaking. If you stop posting, then we can assume that the tierod finally broke when you were hooning around one of the corners.
Ive got a GT6 with a spitfire body and I spraying it Silver

was that redlining?
spitfire2002 4 years ago
At that time 7K. Was later 7800 on newer engine.

thats alot of RPM for a 4 cylinder.
spitfire2002 4 years ago
4 cylinders usually would have higher rpm than larger engines

Yes Camp is just where the video ends, the cafe and pub. Also cycled up there quite a few times, steep!

My tie-rods are custom made from cold drawn steel and with 10000lbs rose joints each end :)
Never had a failure on the suspension in 10years of hooning spitfires :)
They are pretty strong, the main weakness is in the drivers head! Get out there and hoon it!
