  • I'm not sure if I would deem this as being a commercial pop song lol. But I believe that it is an attempt to make E Tu Kahikatea a little more 'fun'. Personally, I prefer how it's traditionally sung. has a more sentimental feel that I like!

    But interesting interpretation, nonetheless!

  • @soularsystematicz yah, I prefer the traditional one too

  • E Tu Kahikatea

    E tu e tu e tu

    E tu kahikatea

    Whakapae ururoa

    Awhi mai awhi atu

    Tatou tatou e

    E tu kahikatoa

    Kare kau e hinga

    Awhi mai awhi atu

    Tatou tatou e

  • I love this video...

  • Oh I just love it (though please note I am going a little mad trying to work out the original photos!) I think my son will loooooove this.

Oh hang on I have been on for about 15 minutes and I just realised that the screen is bigger. Oh bugger, hope he will be ok with it. Why does ecerything change all. the. time?!

Wat to go for finding the song! I bet E just adores it!

  • I hate when they change things here! I can barely edit my profile.

LOL @ trying to figure out what the pictures are. I think the pineapple is pretty obvious. There are also some of pine trees, and pine cones, and orchids and shells. The very first one is the sky. :o)

  • You know when they changed the little tv thing, at the top before your name, I went sobbing to partner and he replied with "oh for F sake" hows that for compassion? I got the pineapple!

  • and at 41secs is a banana?

  • yup ;)

  • Very pretty. And cool.

  • Hmm, suzi, you have quite the interesting taste in Music. I also like the visuals, they're rather synaesthetic. *Kittyhuggles*

  • Cool!

  • You did a good job finding out the song. its not easy when its in a foreign language!

If you feel inclined you can also search on YT 'poi e'. A song from the Patea Maori Club which actually made it to no. 1 on the NZ charts. Another catchy tune and IMO, an awesome music video.

  • Oh wow, that's interesting, Miss Sharyn.

"You did a good job finding out the song. its not easy when its in a foreign language!"

I almost pegged it as Australian when I first heard it, interesetingly enough. Well, I was close, anyway

  • I did watch Poi E. Cool music & vid indeed.

  • I love this one...Favorite.
