  • sure , understand the pyhcologital differences, but deep in side we all know we wanna lose weight and fart, we just get tired of being fatasses and it dont matter how we say it

  • Thanks for your comment!

The whole weight vs fat thing is more than psychological, it is physiological too. I have seen people who have put on a bunch of weight and yet looked much leaner, because they shifted their fat to lean muscle ratio so drastically.

So that's why I'm always telling people to focus on fat, which really translates into how they look. Isn't that the most important thing? Would you really care how much you weighed if you looked amazing?

Btw, your typo was hilarious :)

  • Hi & thanks for your comment!

Your question is a great one and a few answers immediately come to mind:

    1) Firstly, are you male or female? If you're male, 1500 calories is way too low and could be shutting down your metabolism. If you're female, that might be a good amount of calories depending on how much you weigh at present. It could be that you're taking in too few calories in that case as well.

  • 2) If last month was the first month that you changed up your diet and exercise habits after a long period of having bad habits, you would naturally see greater results immediately as compared to this month because your body has already started adapting to the changes and is not making such a radical improvement as it was when you started doing something instead of nothing. Progess gets slower the longer you stay in good habits and the fitter you get.

  • 3) It could be that you naturally are more sensitive to carbs and so your body responds better to low carb diets, even if your calories are a little higher. Plus, it's likely that by cutting out carbs you lowered your calories significantly anyway, whether you knew it or not. Experiment with the amount of carbs you eat to find a sweet spot where you lose weight easily. It's an individual thing.

  • 4) As far as calories in vs calories out - that depends on how much you weigh at present and how many times you exercise a week. If you give me that number I can probably give you a good estimate. The bottom line is you always want a few hundred less calories in than out, so that you're always in a deficit but not too much of a deficit so that you're slowing down your metabolism or not getting enough nutrients to help you naturally lose fat.

Phew! That's all I have for now...hope that helps!

  • saw your vids for the first time Wow! pretty informative! Congrats! Q, I cut back my calories from 3000 + to 1500 and aim daily to burn 2000 calories a day using a calorie count watch and using the furthest fax while at work and interval treadmill joggs. but I saw less weight loss then last month when I watch carbs but didnt care about calorie count. Am I doing something wrong or bad for my body? Q. How many calorie in vs. calories out is healthy and good for weightloss when you 75+ lbs over.
