jk. make sure when you are stepping onto your board you are very light footed. You want to jump forward, not down. this will minimize speed loss during your drop. good luck!

I just started Skimming last year july recently i just landed my first tre shove and b4 that about a month b4 i cought me first sider to a 3 foot wave (im 5 feet tall) i just bought a victoria hybrid (orange) i think its 3/4 or 5/8 its about 1 foot and a half wide did i make the right desicion (im twelve right now) i was thinking about gettin a board fish like dude cruise, rocket fish, wing fish etc, can u tell if i made a good chose, and if i should get one of those,

If your could give a totally non biased answer, im 17, 250lbs, been skimming since i was 8. I currently have a Large Zap Pro... Should I go the extra money for a Victoria, Exile, Slotsik etc... if you could help me out, much appreciated.

@Magicdude912 At 250lbs and with your level experience you would probably benefit by having a stiffer skimboard (i.e. carbon fiber). A large zap pro is pretty dramatically undersized for you. You should also be riding a bigger board. If you do spring for carbon fiber, make sure it has carbon on both sides and is made with epoxy. All exile carbons are made this way, others vary. The exact size you would need depends on how fast you run and what kind of waves you skim. Call us. 949-492-0284

@willsull22 At 160 there are a lot of different sizes that might fit best depending on where you skim abd how you skim. As for materials, they are all good. The eglass and sglass the board will be a little more flexible. At 160lbs its totally manageable, but you will notice it if you know what you are doing. The carbon will be stiff. The eglass will be slightly heavier than the sglass and carbon fiber. Besides that, its all dependent on what price you want to pay! 949-492-0284 call us

@videonoobs Dude! Cruise is probably the best for mushy waves because it is wider, so it has more surface area and float. Even though it is wide you can still wrap it pretty well because of the wings (I think thats what those cut ins at the bottom are called)

A hybrid shape would also work. It's a bit longer and skinnier.
