everything up to from mar to sirius was gojiras fresh groove peak from mars and way of all flesh sound very watered down, still good though they just lost there groove and gained the epicness which i still like. of blood and salt is very weak compared.

You only have to look back in time when metal went over to the states and mtv taking control. WOW! Seriously I just LOLED when I heard this and looked back at the title of the vid. Well I guess if you like extreme repetition, circus drums, and barbaric rhythms than ya you'd probably think this band is better than LoG. The only time I ever liked Gojira was when I was stoned because they sounded fucking weird but, when I tried listening to them sober I'd always have decide whether to eject the disc or, drive into a river. Looking back I'm surprised that my truck isn't under water.
umm lamb of god is waaay better, the singing is good but lamb of gods is THE FUCKING BEST and this is very simple compared to lamb of god and the rhythms are just as heavy but not as appealing to the ear, just please for the love of god and for the love of lamb of god change the name

i basically see them as a modern version of the band Death, so of course im gonna love them
their music doesnt have guitar solos, they rely on rhythm, unusual song structures, the drumming is really good, the guitars are awesome, the bass is audible and extremely good too in their music

LOG, Gojira and Mastodon are the 3 main modern metal bands and they are the future of this amazing music, but bands like Slipknot, Vengeful, Disturbed and Soulfly for example can have a great future too but i dont think Slipknot will last much longer though, and if Vengeful doesnt come out of the extreme underground and dont get more fans they arent going anywhere too, which is a shame cause that band is fuckin amazing

Vengeful are a death metal abnd, if you like stuff like Behemoth, Cannibal Corpse or even Opeth i think you would love em, but Vengeful are a really underground band, they nearly dont get any attention
lamb of god is much more technical in their riffs and mark morton is jesus christ so you cant compet with jesus x) just kidding.. and chris adler is insane in double bass rythm, grace by Log is the proof of ultimate awsomeness but gojira vocal are better, I still prefer lamb of god :)
@guitardude901 adler is damn good at double bass. but there is no denying that gojira has them bead. their riffs arn't more technical, rythmically gojira is more advanced. LOG is sweet, but they're not as advanced.
@Burkefolk lamb of god riffs are more technical, maybe not as much technical in the rythm, I dont know if you play any log but I do alot, and gojira riffs arent challenging at all imo, but still prefer listening to gojira ( lamb of god gets repetitive sometimes), but its just my opinion ,I dont wanna start a fight over what band are more technical :) both are advanced in different things

honestly Ive had the allbums from mars to sirus and the way of all flesh on my ipod for quite some time now, and I can say they have grown on me.. yeah theres some overused repetion.. but its like they made it their own, as for Lamb of God, I havent really given them their fair shot, but I do know Lamb of Gods vocalist is featured on "adoration for none" off the way of all flesh album.. I have to vote Gojiras vocalist better. just my opinion though
@jazztoid the thing about this style of metal that any one who isnt a musician doesnt understand is how hard it is to chug some of these riffs. this isnt melodic music. its just a rythem. you can show someone a warmup at 180 bpm and they think your jesus, bgut if you get into some REALLY difficult shit, some funky ass syncopation, they think your retarded. do you play an instrument? if you do then you know what I mean.

I love experimenting with all three main aspects of music (harmony, melody, and rhythm), and it's difficult to do so and still wind up with music that is accessible to non-musical people. Debussy's Claire de Lune is a good example of that: it's in 9/8, switches keys at least once, borders on atonal, has much syncopation and counterpoint, and yet most people do not find it dense (as is often the case for metal like Gojira).
@skiddlecrumms I havent heard them, I think I need to give Lamb of God a shot now, being as I have this distaste for them do to the previous time I heard them, I havent been one to enjoy "harsh Vocals" but first Children of Bodom grew on me.. Now these guys.. is the band you mentioned along the same lines?
@muncy1977 oh yes, only the vocals are cleaner. if your going to check them out try a song off of thier new album, A Higher Place. my favorites are A Descent, Starved, and for some really funky chugging riffs you can try Open Arms To Damnation off of thier first album.
Im not a fan of harsh vocals.. though I have given Gojira a diffinite try.. they have a great sound.. but for some reason they dont impress me.. I cant explain why..

in my opinion, Gojira are the best metal band of all time =) I can't get enough of them, they literally never get old, i listen to them everyday without fail and have done for about 3 years now, EVERYDAY. and I'm still not bored of them. Absolutley exceptional live act, similar vibe to a mastodon show, but better, just a lot tighter. LONG LIVE GOJIRA, KINGS OF METAL / MUSIC / THE UNIVERSE.
Gojira is without a doubt awesome. But to call them the best metal band of the new millennium? I still give that to Mastodon. Lamb of God isn't even close. They're still good though.

WOW! Seriously I just LOLED when I heard this and looked back at the title of the vid. Well I guess if you like extreme repetition, circus drums, and barbaric rhythms than ya you'd probably think this band is better than LoG. The only time I ever liked Gojira was when I was stoned because they sounded fucking weird but, when I tried listening to them sober I'd always have decide whether to eject the disc or, drive into a river. Looking back I'm surprised that my truck isn't under water.

their music doesnt have guitar solos, they rely on rhythm, unusual song structures, the drumming is really good, the guitars are awesome, the bass is audible and extremely good too in their music
i dont know why but ever since i heard Space Time i got hooked on them

LOG, Gojira and Mastodon are the 3 main modern metal bands and they are the future of this amazing music, but bands like Slipknot, Vengeful, Disturbed and Soulfly for example can have a great future too but i dont think Slipknot will last much longer though, and if Vengeful doesnt come out of the extreme underground and dont get more fans they arent going anywhere too, which is a shame cause that band is fuckin amazing

lamb of god is much more technical in their riffs and mark morton is jesus christ so you cant compet with jesus x) just kidding.. and chris adler is insane in double bass rythm, grace by Log is the proof of ultimate awsomeness but gojira vocal are better, I still prefer lamb of god :)

honestly Ive had the allbums from mars to sirus and the way of all flesh on my ipod for quite some time now, and I can say they have grown on me.. yeah theres some overused repetion.. but its like they made it their own, as for Lamb of God, I havent really given them their fair shot, but I do know Lamb of Gods vocalist is featured on "adoration for none" off the way of all flesh album.. I have to vote Gojiras vocalist better. just my opinion though

@jazztoid the thing about this style of metal that any one who isnt a musician doesnt understand is how hard it is to chug some of these riffs. this isnt melodic music. its just a rythem. you can show someone a warmup at 180 bpm and they think your jesus, bgut if you get into some REALLY difficult shit, some funky ass syncopation, they think your retarded. do you play an instrument? if you do then you know what I mean.

I love experimenting with all three main aspects of music (harmony, melody, and rhythm), and it's difficult to do so and still wind up with music that is accessible to non-musical people. Debussy's Claire de Lune is a good example of that: it's in 9/8, switches keys at least once, borders on atonal, has much syncopation and counterpoint, and yet most people do not find it dense (as is often the case for metal like Gojira).

@muncy1977 oh yes, only the vocals are cleaner. if your going to check them out try a song off of thier new album, A Higher Place. my favorites are A Descent, Starved, and for some really funky chugging riffs you can try Open Arms To Damnation off of thier first album.

in my opinion, Gojira are the best metal band of all time =) I can't get enough of them, they literally never get old, i listen to them everyday without fail and have done for about 3 years now, EVERYDAY. and I'm still not bored of them. Absolutley exceptional live act, similar vibe to a mastodon show, but better, just a lot tighter. LONG LIVE GOJIRA, KINGS OF METAL / MUSIC / THE UNIVERSE.

Lamb of god is a hell of a big band ,there are excellent !! but i thing they are lacking of feeling , a feeling that Gojira have. they can cast a dark spell!!!!!!! with their music .i believe both of them are great bands but LOG is near hardcore and Gojira are a doom band . anyway thats my opinion
