I have to admit, if I weren't looking at the lyrics, I would have no idea what she's singing.

The Japanese version is ten times better. The lyrics in english the phrases sound broken up and fragmented, and stressed on the wrong syllable.

Read the manga and it´ll answer your questions. From ep. 20-21 of the anime the storyline is different from the manga, so it is more probable that there won´t be a second season.

@Vermouthvin The reason for that is that when they were making the Anime they (unlike "Naruto" & "Bleach" ) decided not to wait for the rest of the Manga to come out so they conseved their own Ending, which is disapointing considering the Current Events unfolding in the Manga Series, That said EPs 1-20 of the Anime were Beautifully Made & capture the Feel of the Manga Perfectly and hopfully as happened with the Battle Angel Alita, The Last Order sequel Manga starting 5/6ths to end of 1st Manga

Like the anime. But the manga is best! There are some odd combos here thou, such as beautiful girls posing as superior warriors, baby faces with very cool characters and dark/injured spirits, very nice and attractive body figures fighting violent/bloody battles.... Somehow the contrast is LOVELY!!!

Personally, I've spoken english all my life and I don't really hear any errors in the song. The only thing that is even a little different about it from typical english is probably the mid-sentence punctuation and that doesn't even really matter in a song anyway...

So, very beautiful, and it does the English language justice just fine.

I really like the English verison alot. Its alot better than many Japanese songs that are sung and translated into English.

Because Japanese is a very monotones language, it saounds very bland unless you raise your pinch a little or else no one will be bale to hear you clearly. Which is why I do not get people claiming that everything sounds better in Japanese when it's crippled in terms of vocal range. You'll never find vocals as powerful as say Kate Bush. I bet Kate Bush would do a wonderful cover of this song, though.

The japanese version of Guilty Sky just flows better. Only a few people are able to make an english version of a song sound good, and Kosada (if she's singing this version) isnt one of them. Of course, it may also be the pace of the song, and the big difference in syllables...
