Guys, don't be douche-cunts. It was such a hectic and chaotic day, nobody knew anything for certain. How were the reporters supposed to know all of the specifics as they happened? Especially ones from across the goddamn Atlantic?
Folks BBC in UK is like PBS here in the US. But BBC as it's publically funded has strick rules on reporting facts only. Can you imagine if that same rule were put on ultra liberal/biased PBS?
i hate how so far from what im seeing it seems that every news report from this day were focusing on the pentagon at the moment the south tower collapsed and a few seconds later switch back to the trade tower(s) to just see a giant ploom of dust so everyone assumes it was another explosion scaring all the viewers shitless
Stop attacking the report. Come on, CNN's report was hopelss, they didn't talk about the facts, they just interviewed people on the street about how scared they were. I congratulate the reporters for not breaking down in the studio when they collapsed and ALWAYS telling us facts!
@syntaxburn UK news broadcast is done to different rules and conventions than those in the USA, especially in the case of the BBC - which is a public service.
What is she supposed to say? is she supposed to be swayed by emotions and scream "OOOOOOMG! OOOOMG The tower has just collapsed! OOOOOOMG!"?
What good would that do? UK news at least is able to curb their emotions and simply report on the events, and let viewers react on their own.
worst news reporting EVER- as one of the towers collapses, they are dispassionately discussing the issues which are not immediate- who is responsible, possible casualties, etc...do they NOT know that one of the tallest buildings in the world is currently collapsing on live television? The BBC is a pathetic news organization, at least on that day. This same woman refers to the WTC as "block towers". WTF? Totally inept in every facet. Unintelligent and absent-minded baffoonery.
@syntaxburn - Is that really your biggest gripe? The fact that she refered to a large tower as a "tower block"? Sems to me like your the unintelligent one. Stick to fox news and its conjecture, bias, and appeals to emotion
@syntaxburn She has to be erm... can't remember the word, but it's basically a rule that we have. Uk reporters have to not show bias in any way, even emotions, when it comes to somethign as horrifying as this.
Don't even waste your time with this moron xxmehmahcookiesxx. She's one of these Internet retards who can't bear the fact she can't get the last word so she tells everyone not to reply to her so she can get it, then she starts throwing insults then she accuses everyone else of wanting the last word when they tell her they aren't putting up with her crap.
Best just to put her on ignore or she'll fill your comments box with spam crap.
@detroyes2 unfortunately the BBC World arm of BBC is not a hgihly prioritised division. BBC gives over 90% of its total funding to the UK only broadcasts. Having watched this on BBC News 24 it was such a different experience... the BBC should have pumped the BBC News 24 coverage out to BBC World. Such an event needed the much higher budgeted channel across all BBC World news channels.
Thank you for uploading these. It's interesting to have a different point of view.
