  • that may be the fish we let go a few years back it had out grown a 30 gallon tank

  • Just FYI gold fish and carp are very very very closely related

  • it looks like the mekong giant catfish from tailand

  • oo a no mms q pedo

  • yea it is an albino asian carp

  • crazy banjo backwoods music

  • asian bighead carp.

  • That isn't even a gold fish

  • That is a gold fish on roids

  • That is a pond shark lookout !!!!!

  • that definitely does not look like a goldfish :p

the mouth isn't the same. it looks like an albino asian carp though

  • The eyes look black to me not an albino but a gold variation of the asian carp which I think is rare.

  • take him down to the chinese resturant they`ll eat him ! but don`t throw it back !

  • not a gold fish!!!!! its a albino Asian Carp!!! invasive fish that should never be returned back to the water once caught in NA.

  • Is it good eating?

  • @ckpeltomaa no, asian carp have very little eating value... actually they have almost no value at all. they destroy rivers and local fish populations, just take a look at the illinois river near where i live, they've taken over the river completely.

the only thing they're good for is bowfishing, which is really fun.

  • @MunicipalMeep you are very very wrong ,, this breed of asian carp is call large head fish in asian country , the meat is better taste then trout and salmon .. this is reason why they cost more then salmon and trout in china .. very taste fish .. if people can market this fish in right market it can be an resource.. you dont have to believe me .. catch one and taste the meat .. you will see the difference ..

  • @superwhiz88 i believe i was talking about "asian carp", much different from the common carp/koi shown in the video, which is the carp you are talking about. they do taste good, but i would not prefer them to salmon or trout. "asian carp" are bighead or silver carp. this carp is a probably common carp... bighead and silver carp taste like shit unless fried and are trying to kill everything the midwestern united states.

  • @superwhiz88 actutally i take that back. upon further examination this looks like a bighead carp with a skin pigmentation problem. They DO taste like shit. and given the opportunity i would kill every single one of them on the planet.

common carp which i mentioned earlier are alright eating, and not as destructive.

  • @MunicipalMeep "kill every single one of them on the planet" you know they have native waters right...

  • @xxdylanxscreamxx yes of course. I just don't care. I realize it's kind of self-centered to say...

  • Asian carp with a color pigment disorder

  • lol shiit thought it was a goldfish until i looked carefully. eat it good for your brain. lol sike jk

  • That's an albino Asian carp.

  • This is amazing.

  • send ur kid over... will get him ride a croc

  • that does not look fake. serious.

  • It's an alien fish. A pokemon!

  • yay. i wish i was a fish so i could swim all day and say HEY YOU GET THAT STUPID HOOK AWAY FROM ME. but i am a goldfish by name an i love this fishy

  • looks like a goldfish/asian carp

  • What the hell has that fish been eating?

  • Lol did you keep it and eat it for supper?

  • Ever wonder where the goldfish you flushed down the toilet went...

  • damn. dats a big fish

  • WHO WANTS SUSHI??

  • looks like a goldfish mixed with a catfish mixed with a salmon!

  • not a gold fish, looks like an albino asian carp - and what is that kid doing? good ol boyz and thier southern twang lol!

  • even the fish are inbred down der in dat der river

  • WHAT THE HELL IS THAT BOY DOING?! He's going to drown the fish!

  • that looks to me to be an iridescent shark which is actually a chinese catfish. or a close relative (genus name is pangasius) they get quite large some members of the genus reaching 600lbs+!! i say it probably is either an iridescent or a paroon shark. the color comes from being amelanistic which is uncommon in the wild bred for in captivity. my guess is it was someones pet that got too big for them and was released. seems to be doing well!

  • wrong dorsal fin to be a carp

  • I don't know what a carp looks like enough to name it off hand, but I do know albino and that looks albino.

  • im glad i live in kentucky

  • yep that there looks like one of them retard fish

  • @s2000oholic lol

  • id eat it like nothing

  • albino big head carp, i think, atleast from the fishing knowledge I have from studying at harvard fishing academy for about 5 years, its a very prestigious fishing university where I have learnt many thingsss

  • certainly looks like Big Head Carp.

  • what is a goldfish?

    carp!!!

  • albino bighead carp.

  • nope not a gold fish that either an albino big head carp or color morph of the big head carp

  • its the amazing retarded goldfish!

  • Looks like an Albino Pacu to me. They are commonly caught here In Florida & Can live in colder water, also they grow extremely fast & are available there. (My Brother in law Runs the Pet Store in Maysville Ky)

  • i would not be surprised if this was indeed a goldfish, if it lived in a large area it would become large.

  • If it is scaleless and if it was a catfish then It would fall into the species of shark catfish (The Pangasiidae family to be specific). However, having said that it seems to have scales and the fins are off. Meaning It's an Asian Carp. So in short that fish is probably an asian carp just different variation in color which is normal. So to make it simple carp what type dunno but from the carp family. My personal guess is it's an asian carp.

  • Comment removed

  • This fish may be shaped like a catfish like some ppl seem to think it is, but catfish don't have scales, and this thing does. Goldfish are a type of carp -- so this thing might not be the goldfish you're used to seeing in your fishbowl, gut it could easily be one of the goldfish sold in pet shops as a "feeder" variety.

  • you encounter a wild migikarp 0o

  • 0:31 Redneck video goes with redneck spelling

  • @JZ41523 It was a typo, and you're only showing everyone the only ignorant and unintelligent person here; Is you, sir.

  • it's a carp,not a catfish,not a goldfish,probably an asian carp specifically,with a color mutation. still cool as hell,but definitely not a goldfish,put it back so you can have more fancy carp

  • ITS A GODAM CATFISH HOW DUMB ARE U CITY FOLK?? SERIOUSLY

  • @HU4LjDog Nope... not even close. That's an imported Asian big-head carp. They were used to clear the algae out of catfish tanks and ended up getting introduced into the Mississippi river system after the floods in the 1990's. They've been growing out of control ever since then.

Oddly enough, they are over fished and in somewhat short natural supply in china where they originally come from.

  • it isn a gold fish

  • hmmm... gotta get a big bowl for that one !

  • Wow.. I am so glad you released him again any fish that manages to survive and thrive that long to become that size deserves it's freedom.

  • That looks nothing like a goldfish to me. Maybe some other type of carp...

  • asian carp.

  • Congrats! What you have is a oldly colored Asian Carp and no it isn't a record.

  • nice catch yesterday i went fishing im 12 and i caught an 18in bass first cast then 2nd cast i caught a 15in and we got a mess of blue gill good eatin

  • Ok I got some attention on this fish . Now what kind is it for sure ? I don't have a clue for the only fish I have ever caught was with a net and I brought it home in a little clear bag ;D

  • @skeeter20111 Big Head Carp

  • Leucy Big Head carp. Not a goldfish. It's pretty obvious.

  • It may not be a goldfish by species, but all carp are very closely related to goldfish. So, with that color phase, I would say this bighead could still technically be called a goldfish.

  • I think that the fish you catch is a result of a goldfish and bighead carp DNA mix together.

  • I mated with one earlier today.

  • Leucistic Bighead Carp, Hypophthalmichthys nobilis

DEFINETLY *not* a Crucian Carp (Goldfish), Carassius carassius

Google both scientific names and you will see the drastic difference.

  • That is no goldfish. It is a big head carp without a doubt. Anyone who can't tell it is a big head carp just doesn't know their fish very well.

  • Goldfish my ass. That is 110% a bighead carp, look it up

  • @jcardona1 Give me the link and I will ! I just want to know what the heck it is.

  • @skeeter20111

I tried posting a link but youtube won't let me. Just google 'bighead carp' and you'll find many examples. They're identical, minus the color. This one here has an obvious color mutation.

  • @jcardona1 Ok I will . There is a bunch of us that would like to know for sure what this is. I was told that it was a family pet goldfish that was turned loose in the lake. The owners had raised goldfish till they was so huge then they would turn them loose in this lake. Thanks

  • Yeah, they figured it out a month ago, Issac Newton.

  • That is a melanistic phase big head carp.

  • @KyTim1 Ok but I was told that Gold fish was from the Carp Family. Is this true ?

  • @skeeter20111 yeah. and tha guys wrong melanistic would be a black fish.

  • >>mutation yes maybe between a real gold fish and some kind of carp

  • Gold Fish are in the same family as Carp . Pine Lake is in Lewis County , Kentucky in a small town called Garrison.. if you get to trip down there let me know what you think.. I have a small blog on it but I aint that good at this stuff. The Officals do not know for sure what this fish is ! Type in Eastern Kentucky Biggest Gold Fish and read the blog. I put a google map on there to show ppl where the LAKE is. I just want to know what it is without harming the fish.

  • That is not a Goldfish. That is one of thoseCarp specifically a Big Head Carp. The Color Phase is unique, but if you look at the eyes and the placement on the head you will see that it is a Big Head Carp. ALSO where is PINE Lake in KY? I know of a Pine Mountain State Park with a lake...

  • @jimd072 Maybe you can check it out in person and let us know for sure what it is. I have looked all over the internet and have not found anything that looks just like it. Maybe you have a link to where I can view one that Looks the same.

  • @skeeter20111 now skeeter he aint harmin no body.

  • Merle "Plut" Horsley of Garrison caught this 65 pound, 49 Inch Long Goldfish from Pine Lake, Monday afternoon. Horsley and his grandson, Namron, were fishing with minnows.

It took more than two hours to land the catch of a lifetime using 12 pound test line. Yes 12 pound Test line .

  • Gold Fish caught at Pine Lake in Garrison,Kentucky.. some say it is a carp..idk yet
