This game is great, i like the way you don't need the highest paid players nor some Hall of famers, but you need some players who fit your system, i love when i start a new career to trade away everything and just build up from the start, even though it's build up i usually have some players i always wanna have at my team like Mendenhall, Ricky Williams and Billy Volek

best way to know your created play is solid, test it 10 times and if you get 7 or more positive yardage out 10 you better keep it because it is the sh*t... test it first against a coverage D and then a blitz D...it must pass both test to be a solid play....I created 15 of those so far and i'm still looking for ways to create new ones

scouting the future opponents is so crucial in this game, you wouldn't belive it you have to adjust accordingly and if you love the game and already know the tendencies of the other (i.e. passing 0r run team) you can focus 2 practices a week and 1 canceled session based on their based play calling, then add a couple created plays in the mix and there will be an undefeated season at the end of the season...guranteed

I just picked this game up for $29.99 a week ago at best buy. I'm so glad I didn't pay $49.99 for it. I hope I can get $5 or $10 out of it when I trade it in after playing it twice. I love franchise mode on Madden and was hoping this one would be an extension of that with a little more depth but it's almost as if there's too much depth maybe. Takes forever to get through a season if you actually want to do everything that's in the game. Look for a used copy...

Well it wasn't really 'free' so to speak. It was 89.99 for the limited edition package which included headcoach 09. So if you do the math, you saved 'bout 10-15 bucks which it was still a hot release
