This is awesome, I just realized where some of random bladed weapons that pop out of her gun come from. One looks like Cloud's Buster sword from ff7, the other looks like Sol Badguy's Fireseal Sword from Guilty Gear, and another one makes me think of a Bullet Bill from the Mario games.

There are some really creative folks behind this and it seems that they love what they do!

Considering Filia's profile, I find myself wondering what kind of relationship, if any, would occur between Sampson and Peacock, given the fact they both have such violent personalities.

Personally, if there ends up being a cutscene-endowed story mode, I like the idea of a Nervously-Wrecked Filia dodging for dear life while her hair and the bionic psychopath attacking her trade jokes... even as they try to kill each other.

At least, that's what I think.

I def feel like of all of the characters revealed so far, Peacocks personality shows through the most during gameplay. Between her voice and just the move set she really steals the show.

Ms. Fortune is probably 2nd in terms of showing personality in gameplay but Peacock is in a whole dif league.

This game looks fun but also silly! Im into street fighter/MK/Blazblue but i will give this a try. Also when i meant street fighter i play SF3rd strike not shitty 4. By all honestly Street Fighter 4 was the worst upcoming game in that series. The art in this game is awesome. I like 2d more than 3d and the anime look is a definite win in my heart. That one reason why i like blazblue. 3D fighters to me look akward except for tekken & soul calibur. Street Fighter 4 graphics failure.

Funny you should say that. Peacock does have a reference to the Touhou fandom. It's the same as the Gradius reference at 0:49, except it's a giant Yukuri. Forgot which site I saw the screenshot from, but there does seam to be a Yukuri.

Among other things, her gun also seams to strike with the gunblade from Final Fantasy 8, along with Cloud's sword from FF7. Peacock has an interesting blend of references from various games and animations, which is something I like.

There's actually other fighters where the girls are fully clothed. Mind Arms (has a few girls), Immaterial and Missing Power (all girls), and Melty Blood (has mostly girls). Skullgirls is simply doing what is rarely done, and I for one welcome it completely.

Street Fighter has gone 2.5D but pretty much every other major2D fighter, besides Mortal Kombat, is still 2D sprite based.

Just because it's not ULTRA REALISTIC 3D (and SFIV is far from ultra realistic) doesn't make it look like "ass"

Also it's selling point is a fighting game, not hot chicks fighting.
