@walk10feet, the MD-80 is a twin-jet. What you see is a trijet, count the engines. This is a Boeing 727-200F, I assure you. And FedEx operates many kinds of airplanes, from tiny Cessna Caravans to huge Boeing 777 freighters, but currently no MD-80s, which are very inadequate for jet freight with their very narrow cross-section anyway.

I'm not going to say that being an armchair pilot is as "worthwhile" as, say, actually going and getting a pilot's license. But it's a hobby like any other, and in a simulation environment doing this sort of thing definitely takes skill.

Ok.. that wasn't so bad. Try setting the wind to 60kts, gusting to 85kt, -90 degrees off runway heading, visibility at 1/2 mi, and ride it in on ILS until you see the lights :) ..and your landing is better than most of mine

Emergency flight to the Keys in a tropical storm in a Beech Kingair on FS2002. It's interesting on the ILS since the plane was turned to -75 degrees off rwy heading. It's really fun when you land because you can set it down on the end of the runway and be stopped before the numbers. You could probably set it down in half the width of the runway if you're really skilled. I saw it in some movie and tried it in FS. And I don't remember what the realism was at but it wasn't high.

Not to chair fly, but full flaps on a "crosswind landing"????? Simple physics, more drag generated by flaps = more pull from wind. Plus rudder didn't look like it was utilized in addition to trim... other than that not bad
