Having eaten macrobiotically for the past 20 years, I would disagree that it is a "long-term failure." I have found it to be a long-term success.
What must be pointed out is that the standard macro diet is not one that you eat forever. One of the goals of macrobiotics is to "eat, drink and smoke" whatever you please. it's the sign of a free man.
If Clement was eating too strictly, it explains why he now
eats raw. He's looking for balance.
