  • SWEEEEEEETTT Corvette man! ...God' damn'it I am so fucking jealous! Haha! xD

  • nice corvette man

  • Awesome, I have a 75

  • nice corvette! I wish I had a corvette to, but here in europe its almost impossible 1Liter fuel = 2dollar,

what is the price of gasoline there in america?

  • @nniicckkk1994

cost for premium gas here is on average $1.30 a liter. less than you guys but still, That engine will drink that gas so quick that a full tank doesn't take you far.

  • @nniicckkk1994 . 3.67 for a gallon in new york

  • nice sound

  • 19:45

  • definately needs stiffer and lower suspension with low profile tyres.... unless it will be used only on straights, which is dumb purpose for a Vette. Oh and take off this grill from the trunk :D

  • If you Pushed a Corvette like this too its absolute all What kind of top speed do you think it could hit?

  • @14omega28ok

Hi, With cars it really depends on configuration. It's like a receipe, The car has now 400 HP but dependig on gear ratios and transmission it can all depend. With my 4 speed transmission and my 3:55 ratio rear end. when my RPM run's close to 5000 RPM I'll reach about 140 MPH. This combo as alot better take off than speed and it way better for a drag race. But change the gear ratio for 3.08's and you are gone for way more faster top speed.

  • chevy garbage, ford mustang owns it

  • Hey im 19 and actually looking at buying one of these same year, but we both have no idea how to price it. Theres no engine or transmission and it been sitting for about 5 years outside, needs paint etc. U have a ball park estimate what the body might be worth? And what kind of engines and transmissions will fit in it? Anywhere i can find more specs on the car? Thanks

  • what kind of power are you making with this setup?

  • @Rancher383

This video is a bit old, the car now is making approx 400 HP. This is with 64cc patriot aluminium heads, Edelbrock performer EPS intake manifold, Holley 770 street avenger, comp cam xtreme energy 268.

when this engine goes bad. I'm planning to either swap with a 383 stroker or a BB 454.

  • @tepot5 well i would really like to build a 383 so that would be my pick lol

  • @Rancher383 , I understand your point of vue about the 383. But the 1974 corvette was the last year for the BB 454. I've talked to an appraiser and said that the BB 454 would actually raise the value of my car. That's why I'm thinking big block right now. Also imaging the power that 454 could unleashed if modified a bit. ahah

  • @tepot5 thats true man there is no replacement for displacement and since it would up the value that would be the best route to go

  • @JeffYaddow you think a 2010 camaro ss is the coolest car in the world.... try a venom GT or a scc ultimate aero...

  • what mufflers do you have on that vette

  • @memphiskicksass

    chambered exausts from Mid-America corvette

  • i fall in love with this car...<3 u have good car =) i love the engine sound its AWESOME 8D!

  • Nice car, just wondering if you changed the front coil springs to get the ride height up a little? My 76 sits just a little low in the front, I changed the coils to 550 lbs but still same thing. I like the front spoiler on your vet I would add one to mine but its just a little too low for that right now.

  • My favourite car in the world <3

  • I don't like Corvettes, but this is very nice. What does C3 mean?

  • @rickames Corvettes are often refered too by generation C1 = 1959 type body C2 = 1965 type body style, C3 68-82 body style C4 84 you get my drift,

  • CAn you replace the firewall on the 1974 corvette ?

  • Probably the best looking car ever made... in my opinion

  • I call it the BatMobile this is my fav car

  • roar!

  • i thought porn was illegal here on youtube?

  • a true work of art....

  • Classic and beautiful car!

  • ultimate bad boys car. u pull up next a ferrari in one of these, they're gonna feel like a complete pussy ;)

  • ultimate bad boys car

  • That sounds beautiful!

  • man id like to hear that rev up haha

  • Badass Corvette!

  • Nice. Check out my dad's 73

  • What exhaust do you have on the car?

  • I'll take it — :D.

  • My first Vette was a 74

  • Engine Roar.....music to my ears!

  • that car just truns me on LOL BEAUTIFUL

  • cooler than any muscle car, cooler than any exotic, its gotta be the corvette

  • Wanna trade cars? I got a 2000 VW Jetta :)

  • B-E-A-UTIFUL!!

  • this sound is just amazing, do you know the hole count of your exhaust? i read that a higher hole count like 1200 makes the exhaust a little quieter.

  • DRIVE THE BEST, FUCK THE REST!

  • You got her back tires squating down pretty good there. Check out my 73 please and let me know what you think. Thanks

  • This is one of the best I've seen.

  • MASTERPIECE

Once again American Muscles rule !

I have a question for the experts, why does the Corvette look like Old Europian Sports cars (mainly Porche and Ferrari)?

  • @lebaneseonly the c3 corvette was GM's entering into touring sports car, so they probably looked at porche's as a classier car with awesome performance and wanted to compete. i'm not sure if they advertised it like this in 68, but i think that was the speech for 76. otherwise, look to the ideas behind the mako shark II, it inspired the ce3.

  • Man brings back memories from the 80s i had the same model car accept mine was light blue me and my best fuckin friend Tom used to roll with this car with Sabbath and Zeppelin blasted in this thing i was 20 in 84 man it brings back good memories

  • @wrangomonger the fastest accelerating corvette is 29th on the list of fast accelerating production cars. the list is dominated by european cars like the buhatti's and the koenigsegg. american cars only feature twice in the top ten at number 8 and 10 ...so i wouldnt go by acceleration but muscle cars have a nice look and sound to them

  • @wrangomonger you do realise nearly all great supercars are european ...ferrari lambourghini porsche aston martin maseratti bugatti

  • Sweeet car...Easy on the eyes...And music to the ears...

  • who knows what the L42 Motor ci is ?

    please reply, thanks.

  • @MarkHarasymuk1 Never heared about an L-42 engine before. they usually start at L-48, L-82 or LT1 or LS4 in those days. If L-42 exist, It as to be a 350 ci V8 engine. Nothing smaller came with these corvettes in these years. I've searched the corvette specs everywhere on the net and couldn't find an L-42 engine, Is it possible someone made a typo somewhere??

  • @tepot5 there is an L42 engine but it uses CNG there is no

way in hell you'll find that in a vette. L42=2.2 ecotec

  • @tepot5

I never said anything about an L-42. I was refering to the L-48. I've probably made a typo. ahah sorry.

  • chrome parts lacking

  • Wow...

  • aa i love that engine !!!

  • Looks good, Sounds good but Painfully slow.

  • How much compression are u running?

  • one came through my quiet village today god it sounded like a bomb or somethin had gone off

  • corvettes of the 70's were so underpowered originally

  • I want one!! Lovely motor....

  • fiberglass body? get hit and your car will fall apart

  • @JimBoopLoop so don't get hit

  • @curtisjb1983 im not! :D

  • @curtisjb1983 how? i don't believe i have control of little cheerleader Sally and her dad's b.m.w or her need to text and drive i know 2 people who got hit(not their fault....my grandfather and my teachers late husband) grandpa made it out with 2 weeks in the hospital and my teachers husband was killed instantly so you can tell im a little concerned about these bodies

  • @JimBoopLoop nice car though

  • What's the Cam Specs?

  • How much you want? Actually wanted a 73 but if the price is right. please email me.

  • what's 0-60mph on such a thing?

  • I wonder if you can put the ls1 in it and make it a 6speed

  • sweet

  • Very nice. Veeerrrrrrryyy nice.

  • Nice and sounds good but not fast enough. I have a 1970. It had a 350/350 putting out around 375 horse. It had the LT-1 cam and camel hump heads. No low end at all. I couldn't compare it to my '94 Z28 with a vortech blown 355, it was way slow compared to that car. A supercharger makes things more complicated, so I decided new motor will be a 540 big block, no blower just N/A. If that ain't enough, how about a shot of NOS.

  • badass

  • sounds amazing,,,do you run the original 330 HP or the lower 250??

  • Thank you guys! Really appreciate that :) Its all clear now.

  • It's too bad they dont design cars this beautiful anymore...

  • Gorgeous chassis twist on revving!!!

  • I'm glad you didn't use music in this vid because the roar of the engine is already music.

  • Couldn't agree more!

  • Grande mitica ...

  • oh nooo,,,

why this car do not have 2 amber yellow lights on the taillights for turning sign,,,

another one is a wrong design for a hood wrong way,,,

hood must be near window and not on the front bumper

  • Im embarrassed to ask this but I cant seem to find an answer anywhere. What is the difference between a 76 stingray and 76 stingray L48? What does the L48 mean?

  • It's the same car, L-48 the model of engine that came with the car. 1974 was the last year for the Big Block engine named LS4, the other 2 availlable engine was the L-48 @ 195 HP and the L-82 @ 150 HP. The 1976 came with 2 availlable engine. The L-48 @ 180 HP and the L-82 @ 210 HP. The L-48 and L-82 are both small blocks 350. The LS4 in 1974 was a 454 Big Block. So to let you know the L-48 is the smaller engine availlable for those years of corvette. HP may vary depending of the year.

  • @tepot5 so the models after 74 were smaller and less powerful engines? and the l42 is just name of the engine size?

  • Actually after 1971 the HP dramatically went down. And yes the L-48 represents the engine package. The rest of the car is basically the same except for the transmission manual or automatic and the rear end gear ratio and other options like air conditioning and power windows.

  • @tepot5 Interesting. Thanks for the explanations. Its all starting to make sense now. Heh :)

  • @tepot5 in 71 actually the HP "drammatically went down beacause they changed the measuring system (they introduced the SAE method) so from 70 to 71 is not so different. The HP decreases the following years especially with the introduction of the catalist

  • @tepot5 THE L-82 IS ALWAYS MORE HP THAN THE L-48 . THE L-82 HAS AN ALUMINUM INTAKE AND THE L-48 HAS A CAST IRON. BOTH CAN BE MADE TO MAKE GOOD HP FOR LITTLE MONEY.

  • @tepot5

Good information with the exception of the HP on the two models. You have the numbers reversed, L48 was 150 while the L82 was 195HP.

  • @tepot5 1974 L-82 with 150!!!!? Sorry to disagree but that's not true. I have an L82 Stingray but dont believe me. Believe vette facts.com here you go :)

    vettefacts.c om/C3/1974

  • how fast are these? ive heard mixed thoughts.

  • @milkenkookies Put it this way... the only part you ever need to clean is the back, 'cause that's all anyone will ever see.

  • In stock trim they are 15 second cars, but as you can see from this video alot of potential lays underneath once you change a few parts. This gentleman has added a cam that makes the best use of the low compression motor...intake and exhaust change it into a respectable machine. I dig this video

  • nice!!!!

  • love it..just wanted some smoke off them tires!!..lol..cool vid though.

  • If it's smoke you like, go see my other video. Enjoy !!

  • it's called 1974 Stingray No music but got sound

  • I actually started drooling....

  • every time u rev it i get orgasms

  • Amazing!!!

  • im thinking about putting the same cam in my 350 did u notice a gain in hp as soon as u put it in

  • sexy, just sexy

i will definetely get one, whatever it's gonna take

  • Happy 35th birthday, you beautiful, beautiful machine!

  • AMAZING... BEAUTIFUL. I WANT ONE

  • this is simply the best car i have ever heard and seen in my life..guys..i need help and non rude youtube users to give me costs on a used Corvette Sting Ray..and im dead set into getting one A.S.A.P

  • hey dude.....my dad just got 1 its a 73 stingray: rebuilt 350ci chevy original engine 3500 miles after rebuild; demon 650 carb. overhead cams, muncie rockcrusher 4 speed trans and puts out just under 400 horses. he got it for 18k even..you should be able to find one within 4k of that price...goodluck

  • how much did this cost you, I'm 15 almost 16 and my parents will pay for a car up to 10 grand, can't find anything better than 12 grand with 120k miles

  • I don't know how dead-set you are on a Stingray, but you can get a C4 model for about 5K. They're not as nice to look at, but to be 16 with a Corvette of any kind is simply kick-ass.

  • im pretty set on the stingray, but thanks for the info

  • If you find a Stingray for 10 grand its going to be in need of alot of work a low price for a stingray in working order will be $20,000.Your price range is more of a project car something that needs an engine.

  • now that im thinking about it, i guess 12k is a little low, thanks for the advice

  • lucky..get this Corvette..i garuntee you.. you will have the best car in that high school parking lot and the girls will be lining up!!

  • love the sound beautiful car

  • oops my 1927 Ford T-Bucket that is sorry

  • beautiful car man!! I'm thinking about trading my 1927 for a 1980 corvette.

  • 1927 what?

  • most beutiful car ever constructed.

  • got any 1/4 mile times for that beauty

  • No , not yet, but next year I plan to bring it to the track and I will have numbers and also videos.

  • Hey brotha, about to do a 74 Corvette myself, shot me a message. I'd like to bounce some ideas and tips off.

  • I love the sound of this car ♥

  • Sounds like the exhaust need replacing a bit loud but fix that and you will have a nice cruiser mate.

  • No way, took me a while to find that sound. Loud is better, quiet cruiser is for old folks. American Muscle shouldn't sound like civics.

  • That was my son making that silly comment, car sounds great.I have a 69R/T which is quite loud and I love it, enjoy your ride very nice looking car

  • Nice ride. It's like moving thunder.

  • that's awesome....

that is basically the exact same setup i have on my truck... even down to the air cleaner...

    nice !

  • coffee grinder?? :)

  • makes every car of today sound like a ... you know what never mind

  • sounds badass

  • Wonderful car. Wonderful sound...

    My dad wants a 68 and I want a 70 xD

but this 74 is also awesome :o

    Hail from Sweden.

  • I,ve got L-82 stingray.1975....She,s got the same spoilers front and back as yours!..I,m getting it repainted this winter.,,She sounds exactly like your vette!. Too bad I cant hear that sound till next spring.(winter storage)....This year of vette is soo classic, love the front fenders when you drive these babys.....nice video and thanks for sharing

  • nice work... im running an identical set up in my truck and i have a feeling that every time you hold at 2200 rpm you smile...

    :)

  • Same a fastback Mustang is the first on my list, but this would be a close second.

  • damn. nice car. what kind of cam are u running? my brother had an 81 but his was a stock 350 motor

  • i love your vette it sounds wounderful if u could please tell me what kind of mufflers u are using thanks?

  • Love the car dude..

  • I'm in love

this is ny favourite stingray ;D

  • if i put this cam on my 454 do i need to mess with the compression ratio or head work? It has a edelbrok 4 bbl 650 or 600 cfm performer series carb that is the only thing done i believe and a K&N filter.

  • no work on compression ratio or heads required. Put the cam in and there you go. While you are doing this you might want to consider changing timing gears, timing chain and lifters and pushrods. this would be the perfect time to do it.

  • Oh sweet. Do you know what the biggest comp cam i can put on a stock 454 without doing any work to it?

  • That's an easy one. Go on comp cam web site and their phone number for their cam help is on the first page top right corner. 1-800-999-0853. Call their help line and ask the guy on the phone and he'll tell you exaclty what cam you can put in your stock 454 engine.

  • m ydad got 1 ikm 12 and its mine soon 4-10 years but who cares its awesome

  • does your hood have a cut out for the aftermarket air cleaner??

How is the hood clearance with the intake manifold/carb/cleaner? I want to do this exact setup on my fathers 80 L48 350 but i'm concerned about hood clearance. Additionally do you know where to find double hump cross members to run dual exhaust? the 80 has a single up =( which is lame unless i run a single 3 inch exhaust back to a split with 2 1/2 in. pipes

  • c3's are my favorite ;)

  • Very nice video!!!

I have recorded too a Stingray and I uploaded the video if you would like to watch it and leave a comment I would really appreciate it!!!

  • Did you consider the 262H cam? I'm looking to do the same upgrades, however was told the 268H is a bit big for the 350SB and that it might not be streetable at the lower end.

  • Not at all. 262H would probably be a waist of your money, The 268 is actually the biggest you can put in a stock 350 but is more likely not enouph for bigger engine. Put the 268 in your 350 and you'll love it. very streetable mild cam, no lost of vaccum. The 268 is really not a big cam. just regular. you'll love it.

  • What part number is your 268? The XE262H I'm looking at is the Xtreme Energy version (12-238-2). What rear gearing are you running? I dont mind the lumpy idle - I actually like it.

  • My cam Part Number: CCA-12-242-2. I really love the lumpy idle. I'd like to get a bigger cam but then you start to have vaccum problems and with booster brakes and lights running on vacuum. I don't want to go bigger. I love this one and I'm sticking with it.

  • I'm running 3:55 's for rear end ratio. Best for street. I mostly go on highway but like the acceleration. If your not on highway and don't mind fuel economy. Go with 3.73 's.

  • Awesome C3, when the hood was open there was a corvette emblem in the middle of the hood padding "0:17" where can I purchase that for my 73 c3? ps: check out my vids, I gave you a 5/5. Nice job!!

  • you won't find this emblem anywhere. I had it made from a sign shop around here. I've downloaded the logo from the internet and got them to make it bigger and they made the sticker for me. Thanks for the feedback. I'll go see your video and I'll rate it too.

  • Old Corvettes are pure style and glamour... what happened with the vette, new ones look cheap and uninspired

  • Very nice sound !

  • Comment removed

  • what headers and mufflers do you have, along with the cross over pipe? Additionally did you change your valve springs/rockers etc. when you did the cam swap?

  • it's fantasic!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • why does it sound like its gonna crap out at idle.

  • That is called cam lope, when you use a "bigger" (more agressive) cam it makes it idle like this. Alot of people use a bigger cam just to get this sound, I picked this same cam for that reoson!

  • i saw one of these a couple months ogo, and dang was it fine. to bad the guy was pulling over for a flat tire.

  • I love your corvette dude!!! Its a large misconception that all of the C3 Corvette bodies were stingrays because only 1969-1976 were actually stingrays.

  • so what is the 77-81 regarded as cause those looked the nicest.

  • Well you mean 77-82.. Anyways they are called stingrays but really they're just a corvette without as much horsepower as the stingrays, yet still nice looking cars.

  • those aren't stingrays. Chevy dropped the stingray name after 76. There's a rumor they're bringing it back for the C7.

  • I can seem to find my comment but I think I said what you just told me dude. I know that the Stingray C3 'Vettes were made from '69 to '76..

  • In Transformers the Silver car with the 2 Flags on the emblem is rumored to be a stingray

  • yes i have a stingray. Doesnt sound this good though.
