I don't know if anyone else picked up on this [they probably have, but can't be bothered to read through all the comments] but an audio piece from this interview was in Marilyn Manson's song 'My Sympathy to the Parents' from the album Smells Like Children. The bit when the lady asks about the satanic songs and when that other one goes "my sympathy to the parents."

His look is possibly influenced by him, but not his ideas, themes and music. He is not a rip-off of anyone, it shows more about you're narrow understanding of music than anything about MM himself. BTW i'm not even a fan of MM, your narrow-minded comment just pissed me off.

I don't really to his music anymore (on occasion when in the mood I do) but I love the way he expresses himself. That's why Manson is so unsettling to some people...they see how he looks and they think "ah he's just another idiot rockstar". Then when he speaks they can't believe how intelligent he is.

umm.. i'm not really sure that that kid's parents actually cared for him, he died three months earlier, and they don't really seem that upset. They probably want someone to blame, possibly just for attention because they don't really seem to care about the child they lost.maybe because the guy didn't turn out as peachy as they wished him to.

Well, his schtick is just a stronger, more intense / gothic version of Alice Cooper's schtick. Manson doesn't seem so original when you place him alongside Cooper. It makes him look unimaginative and derivative.

My point was, classic rock shouldn't be the end of your musical experience. If I stuck with the rap music I grew fond of (that is now inferior to everything I listen to now) during my first year of high school, I never would have discovered Iron Maiden. I listen to all sorts of weird shit now, and I love it all.
