I was in NSYSWB when we first heard the piece played by a band from Sydney one year at Nationals - we were so stoked Mr L purchased it for the band - this was always a fave of mine to play. Played at that Northcote location a number of times too - sounds like you were missing flute numbers that day!

Whoever did the Beauty and the Beast solo did an amazing job. Trumpets need a little practice--I only heard one that was actually good.

I must say it sounds slightly better with a larger wind band playing it but real good job considering the size of the band! I am playing bass trombone in this in the christmas concert i have coming up with the halle youth orchestra! Nice trombone playing btw!

my band is gonna play that at Disney and i also play alto sax but this really helps it makes a difference!

just a few tips.

1.Articulation-in zip-a-dee-doo-dah you guys slurred a few times when you should have staccato

2.posture-some of you were either laid back or slouched forward. the best sound comes with a straight back.

3.tempo changes and tone-it was good up till never smile at a crocadile. you seemed to partially fall apart.

4.dynamics-in a band of this size it isnt hard to overpower eachother so you need to listen for the melody and harmony.

other than that you did perfectly.
