dr. la tourette has (or did have ) a school in medford oregon on the corner of jackson and riverside ...its been so long im not sure about the cross street.
first time I see this man on video. I´ve heard about his training material before, though. He is very good, and fun to watch. His southern accent and the things he says are very funny, he´s a great teacher.
I am very glad to see La Tourrette Sensei is still active. I have a large book collection, couple hundred or so. One of my favorites is The Mental Training of a Warrior (the pages are well worn). I have read it a number of times, especially as a young Yudansha in the early 1980's. There are so many self proclaimed Kenpo people out there, the various Ryu are becoming more and more watered down as well as many disrespectful practitioners.
I'd like to know where did you aquire that item, "The Mental Training of The Warrior"? I would be happy to purchase it if at all possible. Also, where does John La Tourette teach? Thanks.
I never get tired of watching this stuff. I'm studying this "kenpo bitch slap" or iron palm strike for my "seven swords" technique. It lines up the next pi si chop perfectly, like knocking pool balls around baby!
Not only is he faster than anyone I've seen before on youtube or in person, he is funny. Bet he makes a great trainer with a sense of humor like that. kenpo bitch slapping. I rolled on the floor with that one.
I look at the photos of him and the three other guys in cammys and conclude he did some military time. That's even better! He reminds me of Michael Echanis, 1 of Dr Joo Bang Lee's prize students. He was killed in a plane crash in '78, a serious loss.
those are some good sound effects for the bitch slap lol

I love the humor.
I also loved that I could hear more hits than I could catch with my eyes in the last sequence.
