Awesome video of this dark evening Tstorm you were able to still take off in....cool lightning flashes underneath the very dark skies....and even from miles up..did the skies look very ominous...BTW..my very first airline flight...from Montevideo, Uruguay...to NYC's JFK airport via Buenos Aires...we were caught in a severe Tstorm...and how I remember the extreme turbulences...I was 6 then..too young to be scared...but sitll remember that to this day.,...on this Pan Am 707 jet.
Coragem!!!
@Greddy305 I paused it, that certainly looks like one!!! I wonder if they take off in other countries like this all the time or what? I swear flights in PHX would be delayed during monsoon season here in Arizona.
Very nice video! Gotta admit you do have balls of steel to keep calm while filming this the way you did because I'm guessing 90% of those people on that plane where sweating their balls off and holding on to dear life! But, the site was just incredibly beautiful, thanks for uploading this!
@Airliner911 The airliner is AZUL, the plane Embraer (EMB) 190/95 and the takeoff was in Navegantes, South of Brazil, in February, time of severe storms.
FRICK, HELL NO I WOULD MARCH MY FAT ASS IN THE COCKPIT AND SAY TO DAT DAM PILOT, THE HELL WERE ARE, IM NOT GONNA GO UP IN THE AIR 40,000 Ft. WITH LIGHTING AND SHIT, HELL NO
Visibility to take of good - Ceiling good - wind velocity good. They vector out of the way of the storm - this is good. The pilots know what they are doing. Unfortunately they do have to fly threw the crud to get above it. but you will notice they flew away from the lightning strike areas while low and course corrected once they were above it..
Good video, that was a bad thunder storm but you can tell the pilots had it under control and knew how to fly around and avoid that bad mother, again great vid well done!
If I would be on the ground and see a storm like that, you can bet your ass that I will not get in that plan. Reminds ma on a landing in germany a year ago. :|
Nervous fliers like some of these commenters are so funny. What this crew did, wasn't dangerous. Try taking a few flying lessons and maybe learn a bit about meteorology, especially how it's monitored in aviation. If you did, you might learn that what they did, wasn't dangerous.
And if you really think flying's that bad, then by all means: drive. Because THAT'S safe. LOL
OMG, this is Horrifying, this is like watching a Horror movie. I would have NEVER gotten on that plane. I was praying that you would shoot through the clouds into beautiful blue sky??? Kind of like the girl getting away from the monster in the Horror Movie. I’m scared to fly, and have to fly often and I watch Youtube videos of flight to try and desensitize myself. Hope you made it home.
@biorgymd hope you made it home lol obviously he did he uploaded the video lol im scared of flying aswell i have to fly alot but you have to admit that was amazing !!!
@TurbulentG Yea, it's a cool vid, but still I would have never gotton on that aircraft. I would have slept in a garbage dump in the back of the airport if I had to.
@biorgymd of course he made it home.. how would he not be able to post this? unless its mobile, pretty sure you dont get signal 10-30,000 feet in the air
@Itachi1091 I believe that weather conditions did not allow the pilot to climb straight ahead and you can see that even after the complete circle it turns right or left into the clouds to get altitude.
In fact, the landing just before was frighteningly turbulent and that was pretty scary but the EMB-195 is a real good aircraft.
@congaleader2000 yes, I agree but I believe that planes are safe. Actually the takeoff was more scenic than severe. The landing was much more dangerous as we were surrounded by mountains and flying blind - you know generally passengers don't have any choice...
@congaleader2000 it's called "airline bottom line". they don't care. what they don't want is a cancelled flight. in case it crashese the insurance pays, and you go to God..
well u know that's why they go through all that training and simulations to fly through this kind of weather. plus i'm sure they wouldn't fly if the weather wasn't good enough. this is nothing.
@Palestine787 Check your facts. At least in America, Pilots are the lowest paid anywhere in the world. They often work two or three other gobs just to stay out of debt. It was mentioned that a few pilots WERE currently working at burger king.
I would've been shitting bricks.
