It's good they spilt up, when Craig matured and could admitt to who he was, he came back for John Paul and it's better that way. This episode broke my heart at first though :'( Still couldn't help falling into hysterics over "Your mean't to be coming out of the closet not getting back in it!"

As much as i am generally with JP, i do think he's kind of overreacted..i mean there's not much time since the public coming out of their relationship, and Craig might just need his time to get used to the idea of being with a man in public, whereas JP has had his experiences already..he's set his aspirations on Craig just too high instead of helping him develop the confidence he had plenty of time to get :(

but anyway, their breakup clears the way for a romantic reunion at least...:P

@TheQuandor I totally agree. While Craig had been dabbling with the idea of being with JP in public for a long time, he could never quite get past his own shame to do it. Sarah was his safety net. I was incredibly happy when he turned down Sarah's repeated attempts to reconcile, although JP was never made aware of it. So here, JP has his doubts about their relationship so much so that he takes Craig's nervousness as rejection. After his family's reaction, of course he's a little wary.

Fucking soaps. Only a soap would have them get THIS close to a happy ending only to have one of them storm off. The acting was beautiful though. I think Craig's character in general is more reserved/shy, so I don't think he's comfortable with any sort of attention. But JP still has a point. Craig came out only because he was forced out. He still can't admit to his sexuality (although I still think he's JP-sexual) and...maybe he WASN'T ready. Still WHY did they have to split? I'm so bummed.

Craig acted like an idiot during their relatinship because he spent his WHOLE life only feeling attracted to girls, then along comes our adorable JP, and his perspective of love changed. Kieron was just an obstactle in the way of JPC. McDean forever <3

its weird, even though i love craig and all, i had been waiting for jp t stand up to him and give out to him, but then when he did, I actaully ended up feeling sorry for craig!

@ianw3469 Haha...yeah, I´d say each to their own. I always thought the JPK storyline was dead boring. IMO the build up to their affair was lame and forced and, as JP said at Kieron´s grave, something was missing (that all consuming passion). It was crystal clear Kieron loved JP way more than JP loved him. At least JP saw sense and called off the wedding, cos seriouly it wasn´t right proposing out of guilt. When K and Myra were discussing the wedding you could see how trapped Jp felt. Bless.

@ianw3469 I believe that, althought the JPK affair was also a sneaky one for the most part, when they were out, it showed JP that even when he had the gay and proud-to-be-with-him boyfriend, it still wasn´t enough, when that boyfriend wasn´t the one. Kieron knew that and he feared the " ghost of Craig", so much that once C was back he pretty much knew it was game over (hence his comment to Niall that if JP knew C was comming back then he´d definitely want him out of the way)

I think I heard somewhere that Guy was due to leave just after the Dance Off, but he stayed a few months so they could develop Craig´s storyline with JP. He was smart though, cos Mcdean gave him the opportunity to show he´s a great actor.

Craig is undoubtedly in love with J.P, but I think he's crying because he knows deep down that J.P is right about his confusion. The poor boy can't wrap his head around his sexuality and wants very badly to be with J.P, but can't be the man that John Paul needs him to be - yet. I love their story and this is a really significant scene regarding their relationship - J.P finally takes initiative and command of their kerfuffled relationship and the split causes Craig to accept his sexuality. xo

As much as I 'hate" this ep-cos it's soo heartbreaking to watch-I'm glad they parted here cos both are too young and selfish/scared for the r/ship to work. SE is a more fitting end to their story as both-esp Craig- have matured enough to know and fight for what they want.. JP may come across as selfish for wanting that kiss but he's young, & too much in love to think/care...and Craig, he was still trying to accept ...

How much I thought JP was right and being unfairly treated by Craig throughout the episode (and so many before) there was at one point he pissed me off here, for the first time, 2:00 to 3:20. You dont fall in love with what sex a person has, you fall in love with a person! There isn't really anything called gay or straight, whats the big deal? So what if Craig still is a bit afraid of saying that he could fancy men, and still likes women. Anyone in the world could fancy both, they aren't unique.

i know. i want to cry too. James played the desperation in his voice so well. he is a great actor. and then Guy fed off of it and took it that one step further when he was begging him to stay.

man, i could watch this scene a hundred times and not get tired of it. i wish US soaps added a bit more human drama and raw emotion into the stories instead of always having to rely on fantastical stories such as amnesia and evil twins.

love is the best drama there is!
