What hopeurfree IS is a shadow of Libertarianism based on the idea of Republicanism over democracy. Libertarians like hopeurfree see everyone pulling themselves up by their bootstraps, pulling their own weight and maybe once a year helping to raise a barn or bake cookies for the church. But the United States is a Union Of States where we were in co-operation, not alone. Another funny thing: In 2002, when Coburn wanted money for an I-10 rebuilding project, he wrote to fellow senators, "I believe that we should spend taxpayer dollars where they are needed." in asking for their support on that project. IT's not that he doesn't mind spending money, he spends it, alright.
BTW, he also voted NO on legislation that would increase regulations on members of congress regarding lobbyists & donations. (Bill #S.1)

So funny-Tom Coburn claims he is a fiscally prudent politician but his staff salaries last year were $2,233,516 & that doesn't include his own salary or all the bribes he got from the ins lobbyists (oh I mean "contributions").
