have you figured out yet that your dog is the furthest thing from an "italian greyhound" you can get? italian greyhounds are a breed that can almost fit in a shoe box. unless you meant you bought your greyhound in italy. then i guess i couldn't fault you

Are you sure he's not a Galgo (spanish Greyhound)? He's WAY to big for an italian. Galgo's are what they race down there.

we have 3 IGs, one is tiny about 8lbs the other 2 are 23 and 24lbs, they are not all really small.

He sure looks like an IG. We got our IG from Mexico too and he is a biggie iggy. He is about 24 pounds. To the people commenting that IGs don't race that may be true in the US but they race them in Mexico where they are also abused.

yeah, yeah, I know he's a "biggie." We rescued him from a track in Mexico where he was a breeder. They give the puppies away as prizes. We do not think he lived outside of a cage for over ten years. He is slimming down and he has skinny legs and a little head so we are pretty sure he's an IG.

He's a cranky old man at nap time, but we love him.

Actually, he's way too tall to be an Iggy. Most likely, he's a whippet if he's smaller than a normal grey. Iggy's don't race, whippets do. :) Adorable, either way and good on ya for rescuing him!
