  • may god bless rifqa bary and all of us will see her in bakersfield california

  • islam is against honor killing but if any one do this ,, he will not be consider in good mislims,,,

  • Why would they bother to make a huge legal issue of the thing if they planned to kill her once they got her back?

They seem to sincerely believe that she's been brainwashed!

  • this is the truth ! watch?v=vcqj0hLQF1s

  • Anybod knows how she is doing now?We have not heard from her in a long time.I wonder why?

  • yes maybe her parents post no threat, but how about the other muslims in the majority? can they post no threat too ha ha ha! I don`t think so

  • cover up your own religion, the bible is so loving, stone converts to death (Deuteronomy 13:6-10)stone adulterers to death(Leviticus 20:10-11), kill homosexuals(Leviticus 20:13) the best one is children eating shit "And thou shalt eat it as barley cakes, and thou shalt bake it with dung that cometh out of man, in their sight. And the LORD said, Even thus shall the children of Israel eat their defiled bread among the Gentiles, whither I will drive them." (Ezekiel 4:12-13)

  • She is a liar who needs attention. Here the truth : watch?v=M6P9Fzw9arQ

    Rifqa Bary's Parents :

    watch?v=M6P9Fzw9arQ

  • @gsamahh She is not a liar!

  • @Hans021220 she's a manipulated liar

  • Rifqa is just a political and cultural soccer ball. They use her as an icon of Islamic oppression (no matter the lack of evidence) and drop her when it's over.

She's quite clearly disturbed, her parents have lost their fortune on bringing her to the US. I feel quite sorry for her and her family.

  • what an idiot u r charly

  • I find it odd how such a hardcore muslim father would seem to have such little knowledge of who this "Jesus fellow" was in Rifqa's testimony, considering how often Jesus is mentioned in the Q'uran. Either way, it's already been confirmed that she's been brainwashed and was obviously giving coached answers based on her body language.

  • Perhaps you would care to provide links or something to this slam-dunk evidence? Or the quote from her father you're referring to?

  • Or you could google it yourself. If you want a more interesting read, look up the Xenos Christian Fellowship, the people who picked her up, and whom have even been labeled as a cult by other christians.

  • You know, it's simply common courtesy (not to mention, it's what's expected) when you make a point that you cite a bit of evidence to back it up. That way, there can be an actual discussion-- or better yet, real learning. Next time, just don't even bother making the point, if you don't mind.

  • I didn't realize that this was an essay I was writing. Sheeeeeit! Either way, it's not very difficult to uncover how screwed up and islamophobic her "saviors" are.

  • No essay, just jumping into a discussion and making claims without giving real reasons for making them.

"It's not very difficult"-- another claim and the same amount of evidence.

  • I gave recommendation on what to search for. Your choosing not to search just means you chose ignorance. Not my fault.

  • Lol. It's funny, I don't recall ever saying whether or not I had done the search.

    Nice talking to you.

  • ""It's not very difficult"-- another claim and the same amount of evidence."

Pardon if I assumed based on this statement. So then you have done it?

  • I've done plenty of Google searches on the subject-- you've not even given me a specific thing to search for. You expect me to simple know where to find the information you're saying exists?

  • Your college professors will expect it. Trust me on that.

  • Naturally. I simply hope they can toss me a link or two at the same time. ;)

Then again, we're not talking about college, are we?

  • Wouldn't you think if they were planning an honor killing they'd just go and do it? Why would they bother to make a huge legal issue of the thing if they planned to kill her once they got her back? They seem to sincerely believe that she's been brainwashed.

Not only that, it's been reported that she's a cheerleader at her school. What kind of Muslim Extremist would let his daughter dance around in a short skirt? Just some stuff to think about.

  • Dei7y,

Good point, I picked up on that too.

Also what she said on TV about her "blood being halal" made no sense at all.

people will need to wait till it goes to court. it will all come out in the end.

  • You don't take what they tell you in school otherwise you'd probably be a secular atheist but its unfortunate that the education system fails to instill America's youth with basic critical reading skills and logic- Another topic for another day.

"Christian" acts of violence in the US far outweigh any other religious groups actions combined. Should I avoid all white christian people? No. That's absurd. The few facts we DO have exonerate her parents.

9-11 had nothing to do with Islam

    Typical..

  • Again, you make a funny assumption-- that I get my critical thinking and logical abilities from a public school-- which, by the way, you don't even know what kind of school I attempt (home, cyber, Christian, etc), or whether I attend one at all.

You have statistics that say that Christian acts of violence outweigh all others combined? I'd like to see that. In any case, Christian violence makes no difference as to Islamic violence.

9/11 had NOTHING to do with Islam? Wow. That's... not true.

  • No kingdom has shed more blood than the kingdom of Christ -Charles de Montesquieu-

It is a categorical fact that Christians have killed more human beings ( as well as animals and all other forms of life) than every other religious group combined, in recorded history. Look it up in any credible history book. Not even Christians historians deny it. Christians lead in murder among religious groups but atheists have outdone them, thanks to the likes of Pol pot and Stalin.

  • 3) Rifqa is portrayed by her parents and the media as brained washed girl. As though she does not know her own mind.

Sharia Law does and the Hadith does require apostates be put to death. Their have been honor killing in the west, N America, and US.

The treat is real. She has rights!

  • No Sharia law does not require apostates to be put to death except in an established an Islamic state in which a person commits treason by conspiring with enemy forces, this is apostasy in Sharia law as it is in US law. There is no Islamic state in the world and even if there were, Rifqa wouldnt qualify to be executed, and even if she was, the state and not her parents would have the authority to decide so. Please don't show so much confidence in you uneducated views of Islamic jurisprudence.

  • Well the problems is people get their information from TV and internet, and they really don't have an Idea about Islam

  • Okay, wait. "Sharia law does not . . . EXCEPT?" No, that means that it, at least in some form, does. This leaves room for misunderstanding in some Muslims' thoughts, thinking they must do these things. That means that it is a possibility that Rifqa's parents, along with some other Muslims, have the radical view that a convert to another religion from Islam should die. There are plenty of people who believe that anyone who is not a Muslim deserves immediate death (9/11 anyone?).

  • dear Lord..why hast thou forsaken our education system?

OK.I just explained to you that Sharia law does NOT allow apostates to be put to death. Of course there are death penalties in all legal systems. In the good ol' USA there is also imprisonment or death for a person who commits treason against the state. You can not decide this case with feelings, only FACTS. Bush managed to use 911and Iraq in the same sentence but you outdid him and used it with this case. I don't know wthr to laugh or cry.

  • You make a funny assumption, that all I do is take what a school tells me. lol

Yes, so there's an exception that can be misunderstood by many a Muslims-- and obviously, if Islam is not a violent religion, that has taken place.

Imprisonment or death, not a 'firing squad.'

I'm not deciding it with feelings, and there are few facts to work with. You seem to think it's all worked out very neatly, but the legal system does not agree so far.

9/11 was an example of Islamic violence, that's all.

  • @simplydannygirl Well said!

  • If her parents truly loved her and had no evil intent. They'd let her go. All I here is their right as though Rifqa has no rights at all. She is not property

  • Its not for you to judge wthr her parents love her or not. Some people might think your parents don't love you because they didn't properly nurture your intellect. Rifqa's parents have been exonerated by the courts so if you have any solid evidence, and not your gut feeling, telling you otherwise, please hand it over to the judge. She isn't property but she is a minor so her parents have certain rights over her. One of them being the right to have her returned after she's been kidnapped.

  • 1)Really it's not that hard. I keep hearing from Rifqa Parents about the rights of parents over a 17 yr. Case in Florida "Greogry K" He divorced his parents because they fought alot and he was not happy .

The age of sexaul conset is 6 weeks before her 17th birth.

If Riqfa's parents have not evil intent. That should let go of her. She is under real and possible danger because of Islam of Islamic law. If the Parents really loved her. They let her go and stop talking about their rights.

  • If her parents want their daughter back, it implies that they have evil intent? All the authorities have determined she is in NO danger.

My little prayer: Please God...bestow basic logic upon the minds of mankind. Amen.

  • Authorities are not infallible. There has been no credible explanation that I have seen for why else Rifqa would claim what she has claimed. That's the one big spot on the case file, in my opinion.

  • Claims have no weight in court if they are not backed up with factual evidence. Only God is infallible but we'll have to wait till Judgment Day to hear his verdict. In the meantime, the authorities have the final say.

  • Of course they don't, but you're limiting this to a court case. It's a bit bigger than that.

  • How do we know she is safe in her community ? Because there is no evidence that has determined otherwise. How do we know she is safe from the creepy pastor's community of facebook child hunters? There are millions of kids that are in REAL danger from their communities in gun and drug infested ghettos all over this country.. The real criminals in this case are Mr. and Mrs Lorenz, the cyber child predators. Jesus would be ashamed....

  • well said

  • No evidence? Well, there's her claim-- that doesn't mean anything?

  • Of course it doesn't. Her claim got her to court, but it wont get her any further unless the facts are on her side or she decides to emancipate. If only I got a dime for every time a teenager complained about his/her parents...

  • I think that was the problem here from the beginning: a great many people immediately assumed it was just another case of adolescent whining.

  • So far all released evidence from investigations done by both Florida and Ohio authorities point to just that.

  • I appreciate your efforts to sound objective but its not working. Certain things are very clear in this case. The Pastor, his wife and members of his congregation were involved in kidnapping this girl across state lines and concealing this from the authorities and her parents, who pose no threat to her.

  • "It's not working?" What, you think it's an act or something?

They kidnapped her? Kidnap: to steal, carry off, or abduct by force or fraud. That doesn't sound like kidnapping to me.

  • The legal definition is "intentionally or recklessly detaining the victim without lawful authority; involves the transportation or concealment of the person." They were in constant communication with her before she left , arranged for her trip , paid for her bus ticket, kept in contact with her throughout the journey and physically held her in their home for over 2 weeks- all this withOUT informing the authorities. Whtr she was compliant or not isnt the question because she was 16 - a child.

  • I'm sorry, but it wasn't kidnapping if they believed that she was in danger, and she went willingly. They physically HELD her? No, she stayed there willingly.

It does matter. If a kid came to you claiming she would be murdered, you think it's illegal for you to try to help them? Now, perhaps they did not help in the right way (not contacting the authorities), but I do not think that that entails kidnapping.

  • If they believed she was in danger and the facts were on their side, why didn't they inform the police? Yes they HELD her. That's what its called when you are dealing with a 16 yr old. Legally speaking, her willingness does not matter. Maybe it was kidnapping in the name of Jesus, but it was kidnapping nevertheless.

  • I don't know why they didn't inform the police... that's the thing. *We don't know.* There are a lot of missing details.

Hey, if they kidnapped her according to the legal definition, it's possible that they'll be punished for it. I don't think that they did, but if they did, they will (or should) be.

  • We DO know that they did NOT inform the police. I haven't said anything based on information that we do not know yet. Pastor Lorenz, in his sermon the day after the first court hearing, has already warned his congregation that they will face legal trouble and/or persecution but not to fear...its in the name of Christ... After which he went MIA and hired a bunch of lawyers. How noble...
