I think thats one of the reasons they targeted Falun Gong. Its central tennets are compassion, forebearance, truth and [something else] which is the polar opposite of what the CCP stand for.

This is very frustrating and I think its really important that peoples perceptions of China change to reflect reality, and not some idealized stereotype. While many westerners are becoming disillusioned and critical of their own government and its human rights record, most of them have no idea about the far worse horrors that are perpatrated with their biggest trading partner.

I accidently came across one of these postings and began to further investigate the going's on in China. There is much more violations of both people and animals then I imagined.
Unfortunately as a single person there isn't much I can do to change it. I have decided, however, to not support China by not knowingly purchasing merchandise made there. If more people were to boycott China in this way it would eventually make our govn't aware of the movement and force them to take action.

falun gong is just one of all the qi gong's, which sprouted in 1980s because of the low education level in china. they are all frauds, I was brought to a master who said he can cure my eyes by touching me, and charged $100. later on falun gong became large and started to post political threats to the government so it was banned, it's got nothing to do with religious persecution, and btw china never had a real religion, and chinese don't know what religious persecution is.

I have read the horror stories about how the Falun Gong people get tortured in so many sick ways. I have to say, I would not go though the torture they do for any religious beliefs or to "just practice thai chi. I think Chinese people can be really hard headed and stubborn sometimes. If I go to Thailand, I don't say anything bad about King 9, if I go to China, I don't practice Falun Gong. I really do think some of these people need to get a clue and stop getting tortured. What can we do? This is clearly inhumane to allow sich things to occur on this planet. BTW, that is a large decubidai, commonly known as a bedsore, on his tail bone. That happens a great deal with those who have lost too much weight which causes the tissue to breakdown where there is a bony prominence. Sad.

What do they have to hide? Nothing. Some of the videos are blocked because the CCP hires people to post anti-Falun Gong comments and incite hatred against Falun Gong to justify their persecution. It's that simple. Falun Gong is innocent - they are just trying to survive under a brutal dictatorship. The only reason the CCP still has power is through brutal suppression, the know nobody believes in Comunism anymore, even they don't.That's why they will even kill their own people to stay in power.

I was in Flushing last weekend and saw with my own eyes Thugs hired by the Communist Party to harass and intimidate Falun Gong practitioners. Many of the thugs were even arrested by the NYPD. Everyone is starting to see the truth that Falun Gong is good. They never get paid for their efforts - that is a lie made up by the CCP to turn people against Falun Gong. The CCP's suppression has led to the death of 80 million Chinese. CHinese DO NOT kill Chinese.

this brutal treatment from the communistic party of course but what would be the alternatice abolish the party and let the country plundge into chaos.
By the way lets not forget that every single one of todays industrial country had its fare share of human rights violation.
At the end I don't think the party will make any compromises which means we can't either.
We can be a successful dictatorship or a free poor country never both.

angbi, Why is there no other option between a successful dictatorship or a free poor country? Maybe the Communist Party would have you believe that but it is not true. They tried to brainwash people into believing that for a long time. If there were no CCP the country could only improve, as elections would be fair and democratic. Wouldn't you say the country is in chaos now as the CCP is butchering its own people and suppressing all freedom? Would you say that is a "successful" dictatorship?
