@Bo2Fly do not ever buy a 2.8 cant wait to get mine out of my camaro hell no there not fast there junk take my word for it 135 hp is what they are rated at
they are fast..... 135HP 165LBS Torque.... + 5 Speed transmission..... i have plenty of fun , low end torque is plentiful i drive up hill 1200,1500 Rpms 4th gear. mid range holds the kick and your still being pushed into your seat till 5500Rpms
@Bo2Fly if u throw 19lb injectors, a melling camshaft and some pacesetter headers at her and take off all the emissions crap, then yes they can be quite fast. I threw tons of performance goodies at mine and she is one happy v6. if you moron rednecks want to make fun of me for putting money in a v6, and a car that i love, then go ahead, just remember, my 85 firebird is a 1 owner, garage kept, rust free car, so before you put me down, show me a pic of you're rust bucket so i can return the favor!
I have an 80 series Flowmaster on my 86 2.8 Firebird and people have mistaken it for a V8. I think these mufflers really make our cars sound mean as hell!
I just Got my first car and it is a '89 T-top Chevy Camaro 2.8L. Runs like a beast but i can't decide what i want to do with the Exhaust. Any Advice???
@william7neace an 80 series Flowmaster muffler works wonders. The V8 American Thunder catback should bolt right on with minimal hassle. I just picked up an 80 series Flowmaster and had the shop weld it in.

The 87 2.8 RS was my first t-top...drove it home overheating like a bitch...new suspension steering colomn heater core spark knock eprom brake lines and a tranny rebuild and front end rebuild later and all she needs now is a new gas tank and fuel pump which is sittin in my living room, but yeah it was my first car 6 years ago and I have driven it 3 or 4 times lol. Its been slow and expensive but a great learning experience. I can already hear my flowmaster exauhst! :D

Its an SC not an RS...its a real frankenstein though Its got Iroc wheels RS gfx a badass firebird steering wheel a 700r4tranny with corvette sirvo and throttlebody and raptor spring. pops the keeperring out everytime it shifts (workin on it) also puts you in the seat when it shifts too.) The tranny is something special...Its the first one ive rebuilt or modded and it works! Very fun to drive considering its a 2.8mpfi
