  • Yup beginner mistake. If you look at the side of the road, thats where you will go. Shoulda been looking through the turn. Atleast he didn' t hit pavement like alot of us have...lol

  • your bike sounds like my grandpa's 4stroke honda outboard on his boat, and that guy needs lessons

  • Alive or Just breathing \m/ Love it

  • I want whatever he had. Either it was the Patron talking or some bad ass chronic because his speed was grandpa ish!

  • Ride even 20 mph but feel comfortable. speed will come automatically with skills.

  • He obviously wasn't comfortable with the road, but I still don't see why he straightened up mid turn.

  • this dude shouldn't on the road anyway, lucky he didn't kill somebody

  • did he forget he has to move the handlebars to turn?

  • How could he crashed at this (low) speed ???

    Hope you're right....

  • lmao wtf??!!

  • Start by putting your feet higher on the footrests.

  • and that was anything but fast ;)

  • he didnt look in the right direction..beginner mistake...

  • he didnt even lean and turn lol he got scared

  • when in doubt throttle out

  • lol I tough the same fucking thing lol

  • I think he's scared to put his knee down...hope hes OK.

  • Body positioning and target fixation, makes a world of difference.

  • he probably rode dirt bike before geting a rocket. I shuld know been riding dirt bike sence 5 years old and when I rode my first rocket I had to learn how to sit on it there a way diff class

  • i think he got scared because his foot touch the ground!

  • Def. a new rider you can tell by how is feet were postioned you ride on your toes. Not the centerof the foot. Prob riding in a higher gear at low rpm too.

  • This is why he probably has 1in. chicken strips.

Ya need to take in a track day with some professional instruction and learn that you've got a hell of a lot more grip than you think you do.

Trust your rubber and lean in!!!

  • what a jakass lol

  • tip # 1 dont stop leaning until your done with turn nooooooob

  • I think he was looking through the turn then decided to look into the trees and that's where he went.... look where you want to go.

  • did he falll asleeep lol

  • At least nobody seems to be seriously hurt. Man, I would LOVE to have a motocycle like these ones. Too bad I can't afford one and the licenses.

  • decreasing radius turns are deadly if your not prepared

  • he had the bike leaned over and came out of it was to early, strange wreck

  • Nah, looks like he panic braked and sat the bike up when he saw the corner tighten. His bend assessment and forward viewing just wasn't there.

  • idk if he panic braked cause he didnt realy slide, most people would put it to the side alittle, he just kinda rolled out there. =\

  • I meant he used the front brake in the middle of a corner and straightened the bike up. I also think he then went down by locking the front wheel on the loose ground, again because he was using the front brake inappropriately.

  • judging by the speed on what looked like a closed street, he is a beginner. that turn was way too easy to make, it could be done with no problem at 50+ mph. he straightened the motorcycle too early and he still could of made it, but he kept it straight.

  • Why do you think he "kept it straight" then?

  • target fixation! bike goes where you look!!

  • what is first music?

  • killswitch engage

  • and the song? thanks!

  • He cant lean the bike, thats all..

  • Garbage!

  • bottled it there, if in dought you should always lean lean lean lean oh and pray...

  • prob felt he gave it to much counter steer for the bend and straightened up to slow down and correct it and made a complele misjudgment of the turn and speed altogether,or just went where he was looking proberly saw bigfoot in the trees and lost focus..who knows

  • its an old saying you go were you look thats all that happened

  • your right he looked to the right and then the bike straitened out.

  • if you are a fellow rider safe riding R1

  • thanks you to.

  • Hmm, they were learning how to kneedown I think.

The turns weren't that hard, and the speed wasn't that high neighter.

Unless the road was wet, I'd say he didn't trust his tires.

  • Come on, it's not easy for a noob to take corners. I know because i am a noob myself and i know how it feels to steer with a heavy bike, it's not anything like a moped or something!

Though, he could at least try leaning if he knew he would crash anyway.. (Not much to lose is it?) Well well, it's easy to sit here and talk, out on the roads you have no time to think, you'll just have to be prepared for anything..

  • The turn wasn't even sharp..

Looked like he was afraid to lean the bike.

  • He most likely used too much of his front brakes goin into the turn, which causes your bike to upright itself. Hence why he wasn't leaning at the apex of the turn.

  • He's overshooted..It's OK.

  • DOUCHEGEL!!

  • Cut the guy a break....there are two kinds of guys....those who have wrecked, and those who are going to.

  • that was an ease turn!!!! ke pedo jajaja nah we all have to learn some how jejej!!

  • you smart asses dont you talk like you have a bike ... go play some computer games and masturbate in front of the computer...

  • wtf was that ? learn drive noob !

  • this was easy and he wasnt going too fast. Why the fuck you buy superbikes if you dont have enough experience?? These bikes demand high skills and a lot of experience. Buy a Honda lololol

  • Dumbfucks like this have no business riding a Superbike/Rocket. You need to be trained by a professional preferrably a racer. Its like putting someone into a F-18 Hornet with no training. You will crash and burn!! 70 to 80% of people riding these high performance bikes are complete morons!!!!!!!!!

  • bla bla bla..

  • been there done that

  • give the guy some slack we all have to learn somehow.

  • haha

  • noob! You could have made that corner with ease. let the brake off, and look at where you need to go. Shame you really really could have made the bend. I bet you go around it now even faster... You should be! everybody has to learn, just sometimes it cost more than other times!!

  • he got scared, then grabed on the brake. too bad, since that only makes you run wider.

  • squid?

  • Ever notice how most (99.9%) of the wrecks on here are idiots on imported crotch rockets (aka metrics.

  • Msaybe crotch rockets as you put it but what does being a metric have to do with it. Where are all the metric cruiser wrecks at.

  • Brake on turn....Riding the front wheel? I have almost done that when I first started riding.

  • OMFG?

1st PUT YOUR FEET HIGHER ON THE RESTS!!!! Sjeez, my first tought was he got scared because his feet touched the ground.

2nd Look trough the corner, where you look you go (in this case the ground)

    3th take some driving lessons.

  • lmao noob

  • Classic mistake, braking in a corner.

  • The real cause of this accident was target fixation. He stopped looking into the curve, instead he looked to the outside and the bike followed. You guide your bike with your eyes. Where you look the bike will follow.

  • ROLF...how the fuck did he fuck that up and such slow speed.

next time dont be afraid to lean the thing over...LOL

  • It's really really simple. He stopped leaning and stood it up. Why do all these squids freak out and just stand it up? Thats really stupid. He was a mile away from maximum lean angle.

  • did anyone notice his apex? about 3 secs into the turn?

  • Really bad riding feet position + unexperienced rider = parcel in the forest XDDDD

It is urgent that you attend a riding course school and to re-paint your bike in a different colour XDDD

  • let go of the brakes!

  • fell asleep i think

  • you gotta lean it!

  • What happened is the rider came in too fast, did not know how to properly move his weight on the bike, got scared and hit the brakes. What do bad riders do when they hit the brakes? INSTINCTIVELY STRAIGHTEN UP. He could have trailbroke and make it easily.

  • Ummmm, riders dont have a choice when they hit the brakes in a turn. If you grab too much front bakein a turn, the bike straightens by itself.

If you are in a turn and you came in too hot, you have no choice but to look FURTHER THROUGH THE TURN! If you aren't going to make it, you must straighten the bike FIRST and THEN equal pressure on front and rear brake.

  • Who taught you how to ride? I strongly suggest a couple of in-class and track days OR some serious dirt riding for the ragged edge bro. If you are not all the way over in a turn, and need to tighten it up (when the other option is wrecking!) trail brake with the REAR brake not the front and shift your weight accordingly if you slide a little (yikes).

  • The MSF course in PA teaches the most efficient way to brake is equal pressure on front and rear. I would say 90% of the time, if I am braking hard, I am applying both equally.

Max rear (without locking up rear tire), and max front (without flipping over the handlebars), is the hardest you could ever brake on your bike.

  • I think you are misunderstanding what the MSF means by "equal." As I understand, the teach that IN ORDER TO STOP AS FAST AS POSSIBLE, YOU MUST APPLY FULL FRONT AND FULL REAR, WITHOUT LOCKING UP REAR OR FLIPPING OVER THE BARS.

I think what YOU are saying is you can not brake as hard on the rear as you can with the front, which is true. You will go into a wobble apply crazy pressure on the rear, but you can squeeze the heck out of the front with no problem.

  • The funny thing is, the first guy may have done EXACTLY what the MSF teaches. The MSF does not teach trail baking. They say that if you are going in too hot and you are not going to make it, to straighten the forks and apply max to front and rear.

Driver #1 may have done just that. I dont think we even see if his bike ever goes down.

Although, I would add you NEVER straighten up across double yellow in the middle of a blind turn. Thats suicide.

  • One final word:

I use the best maneuver possible:

I enter a turn at the speed limit or lower.

This simple truth can not be denied:

If you do the speed limit or lower, it is next to impossible to get into an accident of your own fault. Try it. Try to get yourself into trouble at the speed limit. It's impossible. If you want to drag knees, and you want to do it on the street, you are taking a gamble. Deer, Soccer Mom on the phone in a Hummer, 18-wheelers, other idiot bikers

  • I agree with everything except speed limit impossibility. You can never expect some moron to pull out in front of you not seeing you or not paying attention. I have a stage 3 step deformity of the left clavicle from a guy running a red and T-boning me on my motorcycle. Saw him coming, moved my leg so I still have one.

  • And you almost never, ever put equal pressure on both brakes, ever. Always more to the front for street use, but use both brakes.

  • LOOKS LIKE MY CLOSE CALLS.

  • Brakes are secondary factor. The main problem is bad lines thru the turn. He initiated his turns way too early. This makes you go wide coming out. Go in deeper, than turn. It takes practice.

I personally tend to stay a lot farther away from the dl in case someone else in an F350 takes the same line as this guy coming from the other direction.

  • 1. When entering a curve: Slow, look, press then roll on the throttle.

    2. Take an outside inside outside path of travel when negotiating a curve.

  • look lean roll

  • r u on a ducati or a v-twin

  • most Ducs are V-twins

  • oh I never new that,thanks

  • The MotoGP bike is a V-5, (but you can't buy that one, of course) most others are 90 degree V-twins (so not like a Harley) they historically made air-cooled motors(like the 900ss)but now use mainly water cooled. I'm fairly certain that they make some singles also (possibly their new motard)

  • I'm on a SV650 (twin)

  • thanks I plan on getting a sv650s in the end of 2008 when i'm 16

  • i like the mirror =) good ideia!! drive safe!

  • Ducati is a V-twin you retard@08Street14

  • @Biezestreet55 wtf are u talkin about i know this

  • target fixation.

  • Simple...he didn't look where he wanted to go and he didn't lay off the brake.

  • lol...learn to ride first.

  • I had a crash like that about a month ago. My bike only sustained light damages. I sustained none. Didn´t know what happened. I guess shit happens!

  • You need to have more confidence in your ride. If you get in too hot, Just push that bike down a little further. The brakes will always fuck you over.

  • what a retard

  • he never stopped braking , which kept it wanting to go straight( and stand up) so he panicked

  • he shouldn't have straightened up, always keep the lean it's better to crash as parralel to the road as possible than go shooting off into the woods. looks like that wasn't the first time that bike had been down either. tank bag makes it extra gay.

  • Looked like he drug his foot a little and must have gotten on the front brake. In a turn if you hit the fronts it'll usually stand you up and make you go the way you were pointing (the grass)

  • I would bet that he had very little riding experience.

  • bummer, riding lead is always the hardest role. looks like the turn was good and not too hot. at least he is okay.

  • Was this in Deals Gap?

  • how much did it cost!..

  • What happened? Looks like he made the turn ok but straightened up when he drug a foot? Is he alright?

  • Rider was okay. I think his foot drug or he just looked outside of the turn, but can't say for sure what. His brake was on through the whole turn which probably did him in.
