I played with Buzzy in the mid 80's when he was in the Twin Cities. He was the semi-regular front-man and guest in the band I was in at the time. He was truly one of a kind, and would set the bandstand on fire with blood 'n' guts renditions of old tunes like "Money".
I lost my album; The time to live is now in a house fire in Ft. Lauderdale. I want a copy because no one knows that wonderful song, I've begged for D.J's to play on radio for decades, the dumbies didn't know it existed nor mr. Linheart in general. I wish I could find every single one of them and email this youtube to them! I have loved your stuff since we were both quite young! hugs dude.
He is still the same Buzzy I always knew over the years, his looks may change but he sure doesn't! He is still the funniest, friendliest Musician I have ever met! I love you Buzzy!
Buzzy...you be da man! saw you many times..the Pussy cats can go far @ "My Fathers Place" in Roslyn NY was one, and you gave me some guitar picks with that emblem...still have one and remember you fondly...Thanks for giving us a different view on music...
I used to have all of Buzzy's Albums and they got lost somehow. Would like to know if I can get any copies of them on CD or Vinyl. Where is Buzzy now? This is the time for his music.
i was his drummer for a while/lived ad toured with him //i have always a ft spot for the buzzard /its a shame people will never get to her him/may the higher power bless you tube/mcwhiteface/brucegentileplinhiterapprer
I saw Buzzy way back in the mid to late 70's at a little place in a suburb of Philadelphia. It was a fabulous show...and now, nobody hardly remembers who he was. I enjoyed his live performance and had some of his albums...which got stolen in the late '80's....what a bummer.
plainwhiterapper/buzzy is a true original on the folk scene with dylan and the rest of the early folk hero's/had the pleasure to tour with the buzzard pussy cats can go far/mcwhite face/bruce gentile
He sure looks different now. He and I went through the navy school of music, early sixties. He was the funniest guy I've ever known. Buzzy didn't take well to the navy. I was there when he put his fist through a mirror, cut his hand all up. And then suddenly he was gone. It wasn't till several years later that I saw he'd gained some notoriety. There he was on the cover of the L.A. Free Press. A one-of-a-kind was my old friend Buzzy. I'm proud to have known him and of course wish him well always.
Buzzy's a very talented man. "Famous" has some good moments but doesn't bring the entire story home. Buzzy deserves a more in-depth and current documentary, especially with Bette Midler playing "Friends" at her new Vegas show
Awesome! I used to play with Buzzy years back and boy did I have some fun. Miss you in Jersey Buzzy. I might post some live video I've got of Buzzy doing a tune he wrote called "W-2" with me. Verry cool and funny tune. Watch for it.
Where in Jersey? Jersey City here. Saw The Buz man at Kenny's Castaways and St. Peter's. Talked with him last in '77 before a gig on Staten Island. It was snowing and I missed the show; last time I spoke with him, too. Wish I had a copy of his "IS MUSIC" lp.
